Born in Melbourne, Australia. Sammy was accepted into the Ballarat
Academy of Performing Arts (BAPA) and completed a Bachelor of Arts
(Music Theatre). Upon completion, he performed a touring show of
'Beauty & The Beast'. During this time an interest for Film &
Television developed, whereby he studied courses at The New York Film
Academy (NYFA), National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), Screen
Acting School (SAS) and a masterclass with 20th Century Fox Vice
President - Christian Kaplan. During 2007 Sammy was performing in a
production of "Sweeney Todd" when he was asked to audition for the
Steven Spielberg/Tom Hanks HBO mini series "The Pacific". After
receiving a featured role and experiencing the infamous Captain Dale
Dye boot camp training, the production was filmed in Australia during
2007-2008. It received multiple International Awards including an Emmy
for 'Most Outstanding Mini-Series (2010)'. Following this Sammy worked
on a number of feature Films and Television productions as an Actor and
a Military Advisor including award winning productions "The Sapphires",
"Beneath Hill 60", "Kokoda", "For Valour"; and upcoming productions:
"Singularity" & "Emperor".
