It's been a great year for new shows on Peacock, capped off by The Day of the Jackal. There's still one more good show coming this year (Laid starring Stephanie Hsu on Dec. 19!), but for the most part, we've seen all we needed to see to share the best Peacock shows of 2024!

We picked the six best Peacock shows of the year and shared the list. If you need something to watch on Peacock and you missed one of these good shows, this is the list for you.

Bruce Campbells Hysteria! is his first horror show in years, and it's the perfect follow-up to his fame-making franchise. Campbell is best known for playing protagonist Ash Williams in the classic horror series Evil Dead. Released in 1981, The Evil Dead immediately cemented Campbell as an '80s horror icon, along with writer-director Sam Raimi. Just in time for a Halloween binge, Hysteria! is now available on Peacock and, having seen most of the series already, I can definitely say that it's worth your time. An 80s-set horror story that doesn't feel like it's focused on nostalgia, Hysteria! has a great cast with great chemistry, and it really does a great job of building up its characters, including its supporting cast, which features Bruce Campbell as the chief of police in a town where satanic panic takes hold. Campbell is arguably best known for his work in the horror genre as Ash Williams in Sam Raimi's Evil Dead franchise, having starred as the character in three films, a post-credits cameo and the three-season TV show continuation, Ash vs. Evil Dead. I don't know if it's just because I'm really missing the show or there's more to it, but watching the Hysteria! on Peacock trailer is just giving me Stranger Things vibes and I'm so here for it. And though the Netflix series is already dark, this one looks to be even darker. So I think that if you're a fellow Stranger Things fan like me, you'll want to check out Hysteria! too!

Peacock’s upcoming series Hysteria! shows a town in the grips of a Satanic Panic — emphasis on the “satanic” part.

The streamer has released a full trailer for the show, which premieres Oct. 18 and centers on three high schoolers (Emjay Anthony, Chiara Aurelia and Kezii Curtis) whose heavy-metal band decides to lean into the fear caused when the high school quarterback goes missing and a pentagram is painted on the teen’s garage. Their makeover as satanists, however, unleashes forces — both among their peers and, possibly, with something otherworldly — that soon spin out of their control.

Peacock, fresh off its huge Olympics surge, is transitioning back to its regular offerings — including a 1980s-set thriller revolving around the Satanic Panic of the era.

The streamer has released a teaser and set an Oct. 18 premiere date for Hysteria!, a drama in which a high-school heavy metal band decides to capitalize on the panic — then find themselves in deeper than they meant to be. In addition to streaming on Peacock, the series premiere will simulcast on USA Network and Syfy; USA will also air subsequent episodes on Friday nights.

Julie Bowen is returning to TV in Peacock’s “Hysteria!” and things are getting spooky, that is, if they’re even real.

In the teaser for “Hysteria!,” released Monday, the “Modern Family” star goes about her day cooking and cleaning as a 1980s housewife until a strange interruption causes the lights to flicker and her house to shake.

By the time the event stops, Bowen thinks she’s in the clear — until she spots the face of a demon in her microwave, which proceeds to splatter into red globs.

The new series, which also stars Anna Camp (“Pitch Perfect”) and Bruce Campbell (“The Evil Dead,” “Army of Darkness”), will debut on Friday, Oct. 18, on Peacock, USA Network and Syfy. Deadline understands the WGA picket line was respected by Teamsters and IATSE early Monday morning, the 35th day of the strike.
