Tee Ruckus

T-Ruckus was raised in the Fields Corner, Dorchester neighborhood in Boston, Massachusetts, where he was influenced by the sounds of such legends as RUN DMC, Public Enemy, and Tim Dog. He has been involved in the hip-hop lifestyle for many years, starting out as a DJ in a group with another notable Boston MC, Ripshop. However, T-Ruckus was born with the voice of a giant, and it soon became clear that he was meant to express himself with his mouth, not his hands. His first serious exposure came as a founding member, along with Mr. Lif and Insight, of the group Knights of the Round Table. They started a large buzz in the local scene and heavily influenced the intellectual style now so prominent in the Boston underground. He continued to make a name for himself as one-half of the duo, SCUM, along with Insight, dropping the classic single " Slugfest" b/w " Takin' no Shorts" and " SCUM Live". He also made guest appearances on the debut EP by Mr. Lif, " Enters the Colossus" plus Insight's first solo record, "Hip-Hop Top Gun" and his newest release " Funk Joint ". He has also built up a name through consistently performing , opening for major label acts in various US cities as well as rocking countless underground shows. Now T-Ruckus is ready to reinforce his place as one of the original heavyweights of the red-hot Boston scene with his debut LP " SCUM Predator" on Omnipotent Records. It features neck-snapping beats by some of the hottest producers on the scene and guest appearances by Insight, Mr. Lif, Akrobatik, Vast Aire, Rhetoric and Virtuoso. Together with T-Ruckus's powerful, thundering voice, this innovative project will have MC's reconsidering their profession. He recently started making appearances in film, Stupa-Man(2008) marks his debut to the film world with more coming soon.
