Rozalia Abgarian

Rozaliya Abgarian was born in Burgas, Bulgaria. She is half Bulgarian (maternal line) and half Armenian (patrilineal).
She is best known for her role of Blaga's student in the movie ''Blaga's lessons'.
In 2013 she graduated from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts in Sofia in class of Prof. Ivaylo Hristov. She has over 20 roles in movies and TV series locally. Her debut on the big screen was a supporting role in the feature film "Buffer zone" (2014), directed by the Berlinale Silver Bear winner Georgi Djulgerov.
The short film 'The celebration' that she acted in (directed by Antonia Milcheva) won the Grand Prize for Best short film at the oldest Bulgarian film festival - Golden Rose
In 2022 she had work with the 'Un certain regard' nominated director Stephan Komandarev in his latest film 'Blaga's lessons' . 'Blaga's lessons' premiered at the 57th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, where it won the Crystal Globe for Best Film. It was selected as the Bulgarian entry for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film at the 96th Academy Awards. It also fetched Silver Peacock-Best Direction at the 54th International Film Festival of India.
