Born January Boleslavsky. His father, a actor, was Richard Boleslawski who also spelled his last name as Boleslawsky. He barely knew his father. Jan was almost two years old when his father died of cardiac arrest. Jan died at the early age of 27 (1935 - 1962). He worked for Roger Corman in three of his movies as the Assistant Director and acted in one, Not of This Earth (1957).
