As seen on social media, the first reactions to Weapons have finally arrived online from early screenings, with most critics praising Cregger’s vision and direction. When the One Piece live-action series returns in 2026, fans will have plenty of new characters to meet. However, one of the most highly anticipated arrivals in the series is Tony Tony Chopper, who is set to integrate the group of the Straw Hats. Due to Chopper's non-human form, he will be a CGI character voiced by Mikaela Hoover. During an interview with Perri Nemiroff for an upcoming episode of Collider Ladies Night while promoting her new blockbuster Superman, the actor revealed that the match made in heaven almost didn't happen because she had a Beef to attend to.

Supermanhas just flown into theaters, but Mikaela Hoover is already thinking sequel. If it happens, she has some comics-inspired ideas about where she wants her character to go. Hoover, who stars as Daily Planet columnist Cat Grant in the James Gunn-helmed film, recently spoke with Perri Nemiroff for an upcoming episode of Collider Ladies Night while promoting the film, which opens in theaters worldwide this weekend. What Hoover wants to see in a sequel is a deepening of her character's relationship with David Corenswet's Clark Kent, the mild-mannered alter ego of Superman:

"I want to dig into how in the comics she is so obsessed with Clark in the best way. He stands for everything that she never had in her previous life back in Hollywood. I would really love to dig into that, and that relationship there, and more of her relationship to [Jimmy] and [Steve]. I mean, all of it.

AMC Networks is making the trek to the 2025 San Diego Comic-Con with panels planned for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, Interview with the Vampire, Anne Rice’s Talamasca, and the author of Clown in a Cornfield. AMC Networks is also bringing stars and producers from select IFC Entertainment Group films to the sold-out pop culture convention running July 23, 2025 (Preview Night) through Sunday, July 27.

People have finally set their eyes on James Gunn’s much-anticipated Superman movie, and the reviews are overwhelmingly positive. After the Los Angeles premiere on Monday night, movie critics, influencers, and other members of the media made their feelings on the movie known on social media.

Superman is out on July 11 worldwide, this Thursday. It features David Corenswet as the man in blue and red. Today, life has found a way back into theaters with the release of Jurassic World Rebirth. Directed by Gareth Edwards of Godzilla and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story fame, the film aims to right the ship in the eyes of fans after the disastrous reception of the franchise's previous installment, Jurassic World Dominion, opting for an approach closer to that of Steven Spielberg's 1983 original. However, while viewers have begun heading to theaters to see the latest round of dino action, the trilogy capper, which received a 29% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, is getting a second life on PVOD. It looks like Superman might already be preparing for takeoff — again. While speaking to Collider’s Perri Nemiroff during a press junket for Superman, Wendell Pierce, who plays Perry White, may have let a little more slip than intended. During a conversation about the production design of the Daily Planet set — specifically, whether the actors took anything home from set — Pierce teased:

“I actually did not. I was thinking about that. I did not take anything because it's a hot set. You don't want to mess it up because, the sequel is… Never mind!” [Laughs]

Excuse us — “the sequel is…”? That definitely sounds like confirmation of a Superman 2 in the works, or at the very least, that the cast and crew expect to return to those iconic desks in the not-too-distant future. How hot can a set be if it's not being used very soon? A question that is simply begging for an answer.

It turns out Superman isn’t just flying solo behind the scenes. While director and DC Studios co-head James Gunn has made it clear that Superman is his creative baby, he’s also been open about bringing in outside voices to help shape the first film in the new DC Universe. In an exclusive interview with Collider’s Perri Nemiroff, Gunn revealed that a few familiar filmmakers quietly played a critical role in fine-tuning the upcoming 2025 superhero blockbuster.

“I try to make other people become the studio for me, if that makes sense,” Gunn explained, noting the challenge of directing Superman while also acting as the studio head. “I really go to Peter Safran and Chantal Nong, and other directors. I showed this to Drew Goddard and Jason Reitman, and Damon Lindelof, and all these people to get their input on what works and what doesn’t, and they were so helpful.
