At the end of Season 4 of Ghosts, following a terrifying cliffhanger for Jay, the series left us with a sweet treat as Pete (Richie Moriarty) and Alberta (Danielle Pinnock) finally shared a kiss in the last moments of the finale. Pete has been pining for Alberta since Season 1, but Alberta only realized she reciprocated his feelings a few episodes ago. In Season 5, which premieres on CBS on October 16, Pete and Alberta will have to navigate this new dynamic as their opposites-attract relationship finally sets sail.
During the Collider Ladies Night panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Perri Nemiroff asked Danielle Pinnock about the kiss and how we can expect it to shape Alberta’s story in Season 5. Confessing that the bootlegging jazz singer is now in her “soft girl era,” Pinnock told the audience:

Ahead of its theatrical release this August, New Line Cinema’s newest supernatural horror movie Weapons has received its first reactions, teasing another massive hit for the Barbarian director Zach Cregger. Just like the acclaimed 2022 movie, Cregger is also directing from a screenplay he wrote.
As seen on social media, the first reactions to Weapons have finally arrived online from early screenings, with most critics praising Cregger’s vision and direction. On X, FilmSpeak's Griff Schiller called the movie “a horror masterpiece and the best film of the year,” while also comparing it to Denis Villeneuve and Paul Thomas Anderson movies. “It's Prisoners by way of Magnolia with some of the Coen's absurdist humor. An absolutely Brilliant commentary on the attitudes and institutions during the fallout of a communal tragedy.” He adds, “a chilling masterclass in suspense and Pov storytelling that exposes a society with dwindling empathy that tolerates dehumanizing acts.

It takes a lot to play a demigod on screen in Percy Jackson & the Olympians, Disney+’s hit series based on Rick Riordan’s book series of the same name. But it’s arguably harder to get into the mindset of a cyclops, the challenge faced by Daniel Diemer, the newest addition to the young adult cast of the series, which returns for Season 2 this December.
Diemer stars as Tyson, Percy’s (Walker Scobell) half-brother and new addition to the Camp Half-Blood team who just so happens to be a cyclops. With the mind of a child, Tyson is initially a hindrance to Percy’s quest to rescue Grover (Aryan Simhadri) from the clutches of the much larger and more infamous cyclops Polyphemus, though he eventually grows to love his half-brother, a fan-favorite character whose appearance was highly discussed ahead of the Season 2 trailer released yesterday.
So just how does becoming a cyclops work?...

The Long Walk made its Sdcc debut this afternoon in Hall H with a bang, showing off the second trailer of the latest feature-length adaptation to come from a Stephen King novel. Slated for a cinematic arrival courtesy of Lionsgate on September 12, the film looks like a dystopian hellscape that will terrorize audiences and leave them shaking in their boots. From what we saw today, Mark Hamill is taking on the most ruthless role of his career yet as the Major leading a group of young men to the finish line — or to an early grave if they don't keep up their pace. With leading performances from Cooper Hoffman (Saturday Night), Ben Wang (Karate Kid: Legends), David Jonsson (Alien: Romulus), and more, the chilling story won't just terrify audiences, but will also move them.

Walker Scobell isn’t the only one going on a quest in Season 2 of Percy Jackson & the Olympians. With his best friend Grover (Aryan Simhadri) kidnapped by Polyphemus and Camp Half-Blood’s magical protections at risk, Percy’s going to need back up — and that comes in the form of the inimitable Clarisse La Rue (Dior Goodjohn), a daughter of Ares chosen by the Oracle to rescue the camp and everyone in it.
At Collider’s Sdcc studio, alongside her co-stars Scobell, Simhadri, Leah Sava Jeffries, Charlie Bushnell, and Daniel Diemer, Goodjohn told Perri Nemiroff that she did a lot of research on Clarisse, using fan wikis and “everywhere [she] could possibly go to find out information” to gather as much as she could after she was cast, since “there’s not much on her in the books to really, really pull from.” But going into Season 2, where she has her own quest,...

Last year, Deadpool & Wolverine broke the box office with a sendoff for the 20th Century Fox Marvel universe that was both loving and laugh-worthy. In the middle of it was a reunion between Hugh Jackman's Wolverine and X-23, played by Dafne Keen, that helped honor the legacy of the acclaimed Logan one last time. Now that the dust has settled on the multiverse-hopping adventure, Keen has opened up about what it meant to reunite Logan and Laura again for the MCU, and she has some thoughts about the future of the X-Men. Speaking to Collider's Perri Nemiroff alongside her co-star Sophie Nélisse for their new film Whistle at the live Collider Ladies Night at San Diego Comic-Con, she joined in on the fancasting fun for the mutant team with an intriguing nomination for the role of Mystique.

The Rick and Morty universe is about to expand with a new spin-off centered on one of the few people who can go toe-to-toe with Rick Sanchez — the President of the United States. The second season of Twisted Metal is almost here, and it's finally about to deliver on the promise of a game-accurate destruction derby. After some major revelations at the end of Season 1, the titular competition is about to begin, and John (Anthony Mackie) and Quiet (Stephanie Beatriz) will have to battle through old friends and foes alike to win the twisted game. The start of the carnage also means the introduction of its host, the sinister, wish-granting Calypso (Anthony Carrigan), and other contestants, who start to lean the show into the more fantastical elements featured in the PlayStation titles. According to showrunner Michael John Smith, it's a slow and steady progression into the more supernatural that hints at much more to this world that he'd love to keep exploring, if he got the chance.

San Diego Comic-Con 2025 brought plenty of devilish delights for fans of Hazbin Hotelduring the Hellaverse panel on July 24, and one of the most exciting teases from the Collider Interview Studio with Perri Nemiroff came courtesy of Amir Talai, the voice behind the infamous Radio Demon, Alastor. Season 2, Talai promises, is set to peel back layers of the character in ways fans have never seen before.
Alastor’s Personality Gets “More Colors”
When asked how this new season challenges him as a performer, Talai explained that Season 2 pushed him to explore previously unseen facets of Alastor’s personality. “The singing was more challenging. It gave me more opportunities to let go,” he teased before creator Vivienne "ViziePop" Medrano jumped in to add, "Season 2, we get into a lot of sides of Alastor. Hazbin Hotel has made a name for itself with its bold animation style, sharp humor, and theatrical, Broadway-inspired musical numbers. With Season 2 on the horizon, the cast is already teasing which track could become the show’s next viral hit, and according to Erika Henningsen (voice of Charlie Morningstar), the standout moment is a song between Charlie and none other than Niffty, voiced by Kimiko Glenn.
During Collider’s Interview Studio session at San Diego Comic-Con 2025, Henningsen was asked by Perri Nemiroff about a behind-the-scenes clip from last year’s Collider Ladies Night where she was interviewed. While the clip sparked plenty of speculation about what Henningsen was recording at that moment, she has now confirmed what was teased in the footage, which only builds the excitement for Season 2 further. “That little moment is a small section I have in a solo song for Niffty. Though full reviews are still embargoed, the first social media reactions for Barbarian director Zach Cregger's highly-anticipated second feature, Weapons, have arrived, and they are universally positive.
Weapons is still shrouded in mystery, and although the trailers have given a few things away, the marketing has done a pretty good job of keeping the movie's biggest secrets under wraps.
While these reactions don't spoil anything outright, they do hint at certain things, so proceed with caution if you'd rather know as little as possible going in. Also, we advise not reading the comments beneath certain posts, which do contain major spoilers for the movie!
Here's what Cregger had to say about the (possible) meaning behind the movie's title during a recent interview with EW.
"My wife told me her friend called and was like, 'Do you know the etymology of that word means "small arms"?' Just think about that for a second.

Alan Ritchson might be best known for breaking bones and busting heads as Jack Reacher, but his next role may be his boldest yet. In a newly released image from Motor City, the rising action star looks battered, bruised, and bloody — right at home in the gritty underworld of 1970s Detroit. But it’s not just the physicality that has people talking: this movie barely has any dialogue. Yes, really. Director Potsy Ponciroli (Old Henry) took to Instagram to announce that Motor City — a “gorgeous action film set in ’70s Detroit… with only 4 lines of dialogue” — has officially been selected for the Venice Film Festival.
The photo shows Ritchson, bloodied and intense, a far cry from his clean-cut Reacher persona. “Today it’s official,” Ponciroli wrote. “We got into the Venice film fest! So many people gave so much time and creativity to this project, and I can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Margaret Qualley burst onto the scene in 2016 with her early work in The Nice Guys, and she later exploded in popularity even more thanks to her Emmy-nominated work in Fosse/Verdon and Maid. She has even been cast in a role in Ridley Scott’s next film, The Dog Stars, which is slated for a March 27, 2026, release date. With The Monkey making its way onto Hulu next month, all eyes are on filmmaker Osgood Perkins for his next feature-length production. Luckily, it’s been a winning year and some change for Perkins fans, as, following the release of last summer’s Longlegs, The Monkey exploded into cinemas just a few months later, and now, we’re just a few short months away from his latest trippy horror flick, Keeper. This week, the film’s home studio, Neon, has released a brand-new teaser, giving audiences a look into the madness that will unfold when the Tatiana Maslany (She-Hulk: Attorney at Law) and Rossif Sutherland (Orphan: First Kill) led movie arrives in cinemas on November 14.
There’s been a lot of secrecy surrounding the plot of Keeper, and today’s trailer is no different. From what we can gather, the movie will center around women from different decades and backgrounds,...

In an exclusive interview with Bloody Disgusting, DeMonaco confirmed that he and his wife have completed a script for the sixth installment, which is now in the hands of Blumhouse’s Jason Blum, and that filming could begin as early as late 2025. “I just finished a script. My producer, Sébastien Lemercier, has read multiple drafts, given me notes. We just handed it to Jason,” DeMonaco shared during the interview. “I’m really happy with it. I hope they like it. I think it’s cool and fun. We’re hoping next year would be great to shoot, maybe the end of this year if timing works out.”

The first time their paths crossed creatively, Noah Hawley cast Timothy Olyphant in the supporting role of Dick “Deafy” Wickware in the fourth season of the former’s anthology project, Fargo. With a brimmed hat atop his head, a gun in his holster, and a heart beating for the Mormon religion, Olyphant’s U.S. Marshal was on a mission of justice in a set of episodes that also featured Chris Rock and Jessie Buckley. And, anyone who’s been a fan of Olyphant’s will know that Fargo was far from the first time he’d portrayed a man of the law, as he previously depicted similar characters in titles like Justified, Deadwood, The Crazies, and more.
When Hawley was casting for his upcoming series, Alien: Earth, he knew that he wanted the Scream 2 alumni involved, but he didn’t want Olyphant to be playing the same old part.

At seven feature-length films in total (without counting the Predator offshoots), the Alien franchise has chapters upon chapters of canon. What started with the characters introduced in Ridley Scott’s 1979 film that spawned a franchise has now grown over multiple stories, personalities, and timelines. The most recent flick, Fede Álvarez’s summer blockbuster favorite, Alien: Romulus, found its place in the stars between Scott’s Alien and James Cameron’s Aliens, and soon, it will be in good company.
During a visit to the set of FX’s upcoming live-action series, Alien: Earth, at which Collider's Perri Nemiroff was in attendance, the project’s creator, Noah Hawley (Fargo), spoke about what to expect. Knowing that the dedicated fandom would be eager to learn about how the story fits into the universe of Alien, Hawley was asked about when the story is set in the vast and continually expanding franchise.

It's been two years since Disney confirmed a third trip to Salem was in the works following the success of Hocus Pocus 2, yet the Sanderson Sisters' brooms remain grounded, according to Sarah Jessica Parker. During her appearance on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live on Sunday, the star provided a rare update on the witchy threequel when answering a viewer question from two London-based fans. The good news is that the film is still happening, with Bette Midler and Kathy Najimy likely to reprise their roles alongside her. However, there's been little movement since the initial announcement, meaning viewers won't be seeing the Sandersons again anytime soon.
"No more developments, other than we would like to do it," Parker said during the show. As far as where the film was in the development process, she reiterated that, "We would like to do it, and we've been having some conversations.

When the One Piece live-action series returns in 2026, fans will have plenty of new characters to meet. However, one of the most highly anticipated arrivals in the series is Tony Tony Chopper, who is set to integrate the group of the Straw Hats. Due to Chopper's non-human form, he will be a CGI character voiced by Mikaela Hoover. During an interview with Perri Nemiroff for an upcoming episode of Collider Ladies Night while promoting her new blockbuster Superman, the actor revealed that the match made in heaven almost didn't happen because she had a Beef to attend to.
"So when I got the audition for One Piece, I was filming [Netflix's] 'Beef,' and I really just wanted to focus on 'Beef.' I got an audition from my voice-over agent, Stephanie, who was so nice through all of this, and I said, 'I'm passing on this,...

Supermanhas just flown into theaters, but Mikaela Hoover is already thinking sequel. If it happens, she has some comics-inspired ideas about where she wants her character to go. Hoover, who stars as Daily Planet columnist Cat Grant in the James Gunn-helmed film, recently spoke with Perri Nemiroff for an upcoming episode of Collider Ladies Night while promoting the film, which opens in theaters worldwide this weekend. What Hoover wants to see in a sequel is a deepening of her character's relationship with David Corenswet's Clark Kent, the mild-mannered alter ego of Superman:
"I want to dig into how in the comics she is so obsessed with Clark in the best way. He stands for everything that she never had in her previous life back in Hollywood. I would really love to dig into that, and that relationship there, and more of her relationship to [Jimmy] and [Steve]. I mean, all of it.

Today, life has found a way back into theaters with the release of Jurassic World Rebirth. Directed by Gareth Edwards of Godzilla and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story fame, the film aims to right the ship in the eyes of fans after the disastrous reception of the franchise's previous installment, Jurassic World Dominion, opting for an approach closer to that of Steven Spielberg's 1983 original. However, while viewers have begun heading to theaters to see the latest round of dino action, the trilogy capper, which received a 29% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, is getting a second life on PVOD. Dominion is currently sitting in tenth place on iTunes' global charts, while Amazon presently has it seventh on its list of most popular films right now, ahead of the original How to Train Your Dragon and Wicked.

It looks like Superman might already be preparing for takeoff — again. While speaking to Collider’s Perri Nemiroff during a press junket for Superman, Wendell Pierce, who plays Perry White, may have let a little more slip than intended. During a conversation about the production design of the Daily Planet set — specifically, whether the actors took anything home from set — Pierce teased:
“I actually did not. I was thinking about that. I did not take anything because it's a hot set. You don't want to mess it up because, the sequel is… Never mind!” [Laughs]
Excuse us — “the sequel is…”? That definitely sounds like confirmation of a Superman 2 in the works, or at the very least, that the cast and crew expect to return to those iconic desks in the not-too-distant future. How hot can a set be if it's not being used very soon? A question that is simply begging for an answer.

It turns out Superman isn’t just flying solo behind the scenes. While director and DC Studios co-head James Gunn has made it clear that Superman is his creative baby, he’s also been open about bringing in outside voices to help shape the first film in the new DC Universe. In an exclusive interview with Collider’s Perri Nemiroff, Gunn revealed that a few familiar filmmakers quietly played a critical role in fine-tuning the upcoming 2025 superhero blockbuster.
“I try to make other people become the studio for me, if that makes sense,” Gunn explained, noting the challenge of directing Superman while also acting as the studio head. “I really go to Peter Safran and Chantal Nong, and other directors. I showed this to Drew Goddard and Jason Reitman, and Damon Lindelof, and all these people to get their input on what works and what doesn’t, and they were so helpful.

There’s more to Lois Lane than meets the eye — and Superman star Rachel Brosnahan is happy to finally talk about it. In a fun sit-down alongside co-star David Corenswet, with Collider’s Perri Nemiroff, the 34-year-old actress opened up about how she and director James Gunn shaped the off-screen past of the iconic reporter — and how that past subtly informs everything we’ll see on screen. While Superman may center around Clark Kent’s heroic journey, it’s Lois who arrives with a little more emotional mileage. And that’s no accident.
“There are a couple of different versions of Lois's backstory that James and I talked about and explored, some things that I added for color,” Brosnahan said. “But James likes the version where her father is a military general, and that she was raised in an environment that taught her to work hard and to rise to the occasion,...

It's long been clear on Netflix's Ginny & Georgia that Mang is a toxic friend group. Although the clique of high school girls becomes a crucial part of Ginny's (Antonia Gentry) support system, their dynamic has been less than friendly at times, jumping readily to judgment and distrust that keeps the four from honestly opening up about their troubles or offering forgiveness when mistakes are made. Sara Waisglass's Maxine Baker has often been at the center of that hostility as the group's controlling leader, but she's been slowly making positive changes. However, her attempts to be a better friend in Season 3 were largely met with a cold shoulder, especially from Katie Douglas's Abby. During an episode of Collider Ladies Night with Perri Nemiroff, Douglas shared her thoughts on why Abby was so adamantly pushing her old friend away and what it could mean for the future.

The dinos are back in less than two weeks, but Collider hosted an early screening of Jurassic World Rebirth with fans and filmmakers—and the conversation turned quickly from what’s coming… to what might be next.
