But even though this Netflix original doesn’t condescend to its targeted teen audience, it fails to surmount basic issues dealing with narrative credulity and the outcome’s predictability.

Netflix has acquired the rights to a young adult romantic comedy titled “Hello, Goodbye and Everything in Between” from the producers of the streamer’s hit trilogy of YA films, “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before.”

Netflix acquired the project from Ace Entertainment, which produced all three of the “To All the Boys” films and also financed and produced “Hello, Goodbye and Everything in Between,” based on Jennifer E. Smith’s novel of the same name. The film has already completed production, and Netflix is now adding it to their 2022 slate for a release later this summer.

Exclusive: ABC has given a script commitment plus penalty to Flouis, a mother-son multi-camera comedy from up-and-coming duo of actor-writer Brendan Scannell (Bonding) and writer Amy Reed (Diary of a Female President); Modern Family executive producer Jeff Richman; Jason Winer’s Small Dog Picture Company; and 20th Century Fox TV, where Winer is under a deal.

Written by Scannell and Reed with Richman supervising, Flouis revolves around the extravagant Faye Caldwell, who has spent her life living off high-rolling Vegas sugar daddies. But when her pool of men finally runs dry, she and her codependent adult son, Louis, trade in their stilettos for a fresh start in her hometown of Basic, Indiana.

Entertainment 360, the joint venture TV studio formed by Management 360’s television production arm and Media Rights Capital, has brought in Ucp’s Svp Development Kate Fenske as President.

Fenske, who has been at Entertainment 360 for more than three months, is overseeing development, production and distribution of premium content. Since joining the indie studio, she has has been putting together projects with Management 360 clients as well as outside auspices. Entertainment 360’s initial slate includes dramas with writers Gabriel Sherman (The Loudest Voice), Jay Carson, and Craig Gillespie.

The Loudest Voice in the Room author Sherman, who co-executive produced Showtime’s limited series adaptation of his book about Roger Ailes, is writing and producing an epic family drama set in the cutthroat world of New York City real estate developers. Management 360 announced on Wednesday that it’s partnering with Media Rights Capital in an effort to transform its TV production arm into a new independent studio.

The plan is to turn the Entertainment 360 division into fully capitalized and independently staffed studio, which will originate, acquire, package, sell, produce and finance original content for distribution on all platforms, the company said in a release.

“Joining forces with Mrc on Entertainment 360 is the next evolution of our mission to create extraordinary opportunities for artists,” Management 360 partners said in a statement. “Mrc’s impeccable taste, depth of infrastructure, and resources to expand our production capabilities make them the ideal partner for a new evolution of a studio purpose-built for the current media landscape.”

Media Rights Capital has joined forces with Management 360’s TV production arm to create a new production entity.

The venture between Entertainment 360 and Mrc will be able to finance and produce a range of content for various TV and digital platforms. The partners are developing a series project set up at Amazon with Management 360 client Margot Robbie producing and Catherine Hardwicke set to direct. It’s an adaptation of the young adult novel “Nowhere Girls” by Amy Reed.
