Jingle Bell Heist

This one had many pleasant twists and turns that were unexpected. It was a notch above the others. The acting was well done, and both my wife and I really enjoyed it.

The setting is in London with an American and a Brit ready to pull off a caper. They both needed money, but what was interesting wasn't about them.

The movie put a smile on my face and felt good after seeing it.

I'm leaving this review mostly to say that the score is fun and very well done. I think Steve Hackman has a huge future ahead (with some currently awesome work) and his work boosted

I appreciated the different premise and plot for a Christmas movie, and the main characters have a little more to them than you first suspect.

Jingle Bell Heist (2025) is a Christmas romantic comedy movie streaming on Netflix and it follows two strangers teaming up to rob one of London's most famous department stores while accidentally falling in love. While this movie is like the other romantic comedy movies, this is one of the better and more fun movies to come from Netflix.

Positives for Jingle Bell Heist (2025): The initial setup of this movie is good enough to have your usual Netflix romantic comedy movie set during the holiday season. The two leads in Olivia Holt as Sophie and Connor Swindells as Nick are fun and have great chemistry with each other. The movie is paced very well and I was able to keep up with the story. There is some good enough comedy and action sprinkled throughout the movie. And finally, I really enjoyed the heist at the department store especially during the final act of the movie.

Negatives for Jingle Bell Heist (2025): This is still a Netflix romantic comedy movie that is very predictable with the story. The villains are not that much of a threat to our main characters.

Overall, Jingle Bell Heist (2025) is another Netflix romantic comedy movie that you've many times before, but it is definitely one of the better movies and I would rewatch it during the holiday season.

The photo is not bad, but the script is all too predictable and I can hardly remember the unremarkable ending a few hours after having seen the movie. One strange detail is that in the Departement store that the female protagonist works in, a second and third story with no shops and no purpose at all are flooded with customers with nowhere to go and nowhere they need to be. An odd choice not to add some storefronts via cgi to those levels. Read a book or have a walk instead and let this flick rest undisturbed.

Im honestly tired of same and same eat the rich narrative. Rich people are not evil and poor people are not glorious.

As a result the plot is predictable and you probably saw it hundreds of times before.

To sum up: Poor people are selfless heros, rich people are evil and it is good to steal from them because they deserved it.
