Richard Morson is a film composer based in Brighton & Hove, UK.
He has scored six feature films, a feature-length documentary and a range of short films in both the creative and corporate industries. His music covers a wide variety of styles from orchestral classical to synth/electronic as well as pop and jazz.
In 2024, Richard was selected as a winner of the Jonas Gwangwa Music Composition Initiative 2025 and made a Fellow of Academy Gold. He is also part of the THRIVE programme which is a collaboration between Creative Access and Grammy Award-winning composer Lorne Balfe. He was a top-10 winner in the 2019 Oticons Faculty International Film Music Competition.
Richard is a classically trained pianist and cellist with a BA in Music and MA in Film Music and Composition from the University of Sussex.
