Mr. Bussan has extensive experience in film, radio, and television production, excelling in various capacities, including producing, project management, marketing, networking events, and funding.
In addition to his daily involvement in the development of a variety of film and television projects, he has been instrumental in the distribution of 400 independent short movies worldwide, with many chosen for showings at the Canadian, Naperville, and Marbella Film Festivals. His film submissions have resulted in 68 nominations, culminating with 34 winning entries.
Mr. Bussan began his career in 2008 as member of the production team for The Jerry Springer Show and The Steve Wilkos Show, both based in Chicago, Illinois. In 2009, Mr. Bussan co-hosted Mikey B. and Billy V. in the Morning, a one-hour comedy talk show on 104.7 FM (The Edge), a suburban Chicago radio station.
He actively participates in social media projects to create content for the non-profit USCC (United States Cyber Challenge), a program that helps to identify top I.T. talent from across the country. This discovered talent is then recruited by the NSA, FBI and various other governmental and private sector organizations to overcome the ongoing challenges of maintaining internet and cyber security.
Mr. Bussan has long fostered the careers of fledgling film makers and animators. As an Executive Producer with Element Animation, he evaluates and selects the best animated sequences from players of Minecraft, and submits them to festivals around the world, helping their creators build awareness for their outstanding work. He also partnered with Two 9 Productions to sponsor a Gifted Film Maker program, producing student films, while mentoring young film makers and technicians on the various aspects of the production process.
Past feature film projects include producing duties on Finding Hope, an inspirational film based on the tenets of the Church of Latter Day Saints. He also was on the production team for Halloweed, which he co-authored. Projects currently in development include the Independent feature Best Budz, the television series Behind the Shield Chicago, and the comedy documentary, Chris Paladino - The Last Laugh.
Mr. Bussan's education includes a Degree n Business and finance from Malcolm X College, and degrees in television and radio from the Illinois Media School (formerly the Illinois Center for Broadcasting), and film and cinema studies at the College of DuPage.
