Emily Carroll was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. It was there she got her first taste of Hollywood, on the set of Cameron Crowe's "Elizabethtown". She worked on a handful of feature films and commercials, and took on multi-directorships at a small, local film festival before moving to Los Angeles.
After a flurry of jobs -- predominantly in the unscripted television space -- Emily landed at BermanBraun, spearheaded by media juggernauts Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun. Following the company's reorganization into Whalerock Industries, Emily transitioned into digital content creation which lead to ample opportunities cutting her teeth on producing short-form and live content.
As a proud member of the Producers Guild of America and the Motion Pictures & Television Fund, Emily has continued her work in premium documentary series, on such titles as "Welcome to Wrexham" and "Chef's Table". She is also part of the core leadership team at the Catalina Film Festival, where she manages Programming, Awards & Tributes, and has her hand in volunteer & sponsor attraction/retention.
