A writer and director born in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, his film work has been highlighted at numerous film festivals for its suffocating and ominous atmosphere, alongside a mastery of suspense that has become the hallmark of his narrative style.
In 2015, he released *El Gran Elefante*, a short film with which he established himself as a writer and director in the island's film scene. This piece was showcased in numerous theaters internationally, including the Cannes Film Festival, BogoShorts, and the Seattle Latino International Film Festival.
Locally, the piece won the following awards: Jury Prize and Best Actress at Cinefiesta 2015, Best Screenplay and Best Actress at the Puerto Rico Horror Film Festival 2015, and Director's Choice for Overall Fiction and Best Actress at the Rincón International Film Festival 2015.
Among his more recent works are *Adiós, Sr. Angustia* (2017), which won the Best Actress award for Angelica Luiggi at the Enfoque Film Festival and the Audience Award at the Festival Internacional de Cine Fine Arts.
*Lo Innombrable* (2017) premiered at Lusca 2017 as an official selection; it won Best Local Direction and Best Local Short Film. In March 2018, it was selected to be part of the Short Film Corner 2018 at the Cannes Film Festival. In October 2018, it was invited to participate in the 51st edition of the Sitges - Catalonia International Fantastic Film Festival.
Additionally, it was an official selection at the XVII edition of the Macabro horror film festival and the 19th edition of the Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre Festival.
*Héctor El Father: Conocerás la Verdad* premiered in 2018 in select theaters, with a script authored by him about the life of Héctor Delgado.
He works as a film professor at Atlantic University.
He holds a bachelor's degree in Comparative Literature from the University of Puerto Rico - Río Piedras and a master's degree in screenwriting from the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in Puerto Rico.
