Kayhan Yavuz is an experienced filmmaker with over 30 years of experience in film and advertising.
Born in Istanbul, Turkey, he earned a BA degree in economics from the University of Istanbul. During his university years, he began his career in advertising as a copywriter, eventually becoming a writer and creative director for several award-winning TV commercials and advertising campaigns.
His involvement in the film industry began through his work in television commercials and evolved into a professional pursuit when he served as assistant art director on the feature film Film Bitti in 1989. After writing several screenplays for short films, he made his directorial debut with the sports documentary Ilke in 2019. Since then, he has created several short documentaries, all of which he wrote, produced, and directed.
