Ignacio Walker is an Emmy Nominee (2022) Cinematographer, known for Netflix's Our Great National Parks (2022, ep. Chilean Patagonia), Our Planet (2019, ep. Fresh Water), Life on Our Planet (ep. 4 & 6) CNN's Patagonia (2022), Quito My Story (2018), The Silent Earth (2012), and Mundo ad Portas (2011). He was born in Santiago de Chile.
Walker began his career as a Documentary Cinematographer, filming for BBC and other networks in remote locations including South East Asia, Middle East and South America. Since then, he has worked for both, documentary and narrative films as a Cinematographer and Director, also working on music videos and commercials. His work includes collaborating with Netflix, National Geographic and CNN Original Series as a Wildlife Cinematographer, and also as a Cinematographer in three feature films.
He lived in Los Angeles, California between 2017 and 2020 and is now based in Santiago de Chile.
His flexibility in documentaries got him into Underwater and Aerial Cinematography, becoming a professional diver and a certified drone pilot in Chile and the United States.
