Joe Orlandino embarked on his creative journey in 1974, producing and taking center stage in award-winning pre-MTV
music videos. His groundbreaking live-action/animated music video, Video Child, took top honors at the 1981 Chicago International Film Festival and the 1982 Athens International Film/Video Festival.
Beyond his early musical triumphs, Joe's career has been a tapestry of diverse experiences in corporate event planning, sales, marketing, advertising and promotions. His roster of clients includes Comcast, Motorola, the USA Karate Association, Hotel Via San Francisco, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Hellenic Museum, the Silicon Valley Grand Hotel, The Cupertino Inn, the Auditorium Theatre of Chicago and culinary legend Charlie Trotter, among others.
Joe is the visionary producer behind all of acclaimed writer-director Lucia Mauro's films: In My Brother's Shoes, One Year Later, Frances Xavier Cabrini: The People's Saint, Voci del diario (Entries), I Have a Name, Ovarian Cancer & Early Detection: The Story of a Northwoods Community Making a Difference, Inverno (Winter), and The Loneliest Road; as well as her Italian-language TV pilot, The Cooking American.
In addition to his collaboration with Lucia Mauro, he serves as the producer of several other noteworthy films: Rain Beau's End, the timely LGBTQ issues film (featuring Ed Asner and Sean Young); The Adventures of William Flugel, starring Will Clinger of WTTW-TV's Wild Chicago; and the sailing comedy series, Sailors on Boats Drinking Beer, with host Clinger and a guest appearance by SNL's Tim Kazurinsky.
Joe's journey continues with an exciting lineup of upcoming projects: the captivating period docudrama, Anita & Margaret (penned by Lucia Mauro); the coming-of-age comedy, Ascots; Man at the Top, a buddy dramedy featuring Bruce Springsteen; the Italian comedy feature, Funghi Neri; and an epic WWII feature, titled Dedecus. With Joe's dedication to the art of storytelling, he is now delving into the development of MetaHuman supporting actors.
