Will Smith is set to make his performing debut on the Univision awards show Premio Lo Nuestro, which will broadcast live Feb. 20.

The Grammy winner will take the stage to perform his newly released single, “First Love,” a collaboration between Smith and Spanish singer-songwriter India Martínez. This will mark the rapper’s first performance in the history of the show and the TV debut of the new track.

Smith will be joined by Martínez, DJ Khaled and previously announced performer Thalia, accompanied by Miami Sound Machine, to open the 37th edition of the show.

With the theatrical release of Roadside Attractions’ child trafficking drama City of Dreams coming up, the filmmakers will be giving away $1 million in free tickets for a series of sneak previews beginning Wednesday, August 28, the studio announced today.

It’s expected that the giveaway will result in more than 50,000 moviegoers coming out. The hope is to bring out trafficking survivors and individuals from anti-trafficking organizations, as well as schools, churches, municipalities, and people who might not otherwise be able to afford a screening. With a decade-plus career that has generally been free of controversy, the Dominican American bachata artist and pop star is wearing his heart on his sleeve in his first LP since a very public divorce. Shakira is crying diamonds on the cover of her newly-announced album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran. Out March 22, the record marks her first full-length studio release in seven years and encapsulates the transformations she’s undergone in the time since.

The nominees were announced on Monday (January 22), and Maluma leads the list with 14 noms to his name, followed by Featherweight with 13, Grupo Frontera with 10 and Karol G and Feid with nine each.

They are all up for Artist of the Year, as well as acts like Bad Bunny, Ozuna and Shakira.

The Premio Lo Nuestro winners are chosen by fan votes, recognizing 180 artists in 38 categories across the tropical, pop and Mexican music genres.

Nominees are selected through a partnership with Uforia, which takes into account airtime on Univision Radio and digital streaming numbers, as well as evaluations from a committee made up of music and entertainment industry experts, via Billboard.

The ceremony will be hosted by Galilea Montijo, Clarissa Moline and Angélica Vale, and will air live on Univision on Thursday, February 22 beginning at 7 pm Et from Miami, Fla.

In this cross-generational romance, we got to experience couples falling in love - including the show's lead Lily Diaz (played by Emeraude Toubia) - in a beautiful and lighthearted way, without the trauma.

For many Latinas, Lily's character is quite relatable. She's a hopeless romantic who's in love with love. Her parents are happily married, so she's been conditioned to believe that if you find love, get married, and have kids, your life will be perfect. But in season two, Lily starts to realize that her idea of happily ever after in love doesn't actually exist.

The nominees for the 2023 Latin American Music Awards have been unveiled.

On Monday, TelevisaUnivision announced this year’s nominations with Bad Bunny leading at 11 nods, including three major categories- artist of the year, song of the year and album of the year. Becky G and Daddy Yankee follow with nine nominations and Karol G, Rosalía, Grupo Frontera and Romeo Santos, among others, each scored eight nods.

It was also revealed that this year’s Latin AMAs Legacy honorees are Carlos Vives and Pepe Aguilar.

The show will be held at MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, with its three network broadcasts marking the first time since 2015 that the ceremony will be aired on platforms outside of Telemundo.

Nominations for the 2023 Latin AMAs will be unveiled on March 13 in a one-hour special airing on UNIMÁS, with fan-voting opening up shortly after.

Performances will also be announced in the lead-up to the ceremony.

Amazon Prime Video announced that “Everybody Loves Natti,” the upcoming docuseries about Dominican singer-songwriter Natti Natasha, will premiere on Nov. 19.

Over six episodes, “Everybody Loves Natti” will cover details of the reggaeton star’s personal life, including her fertility issues and her experience with her latest album, “Nattividad.” The series will also feature her friends and collaborators Daddy Yankee, Prince Royce, Becky G, Yovanna Ventura, Ariadna Gutiérrez and more.

This week’s first virtual Democratic National Convention has come and gone, and “Jane the Virgin” star Jaime Camil was ready to recap all of its drama like it was “straight out of a telenovela.”

“The 2020 DNC has been full of twists and turns with an action-packed new installment every day this week. It’s a Joe Biden telenovela. You could call it a ‘tele-Joe-vela,'” Camil said at the DNC’s virtual, star-studded “after party.”

“We started the week with melodrama. Wait — did I say melodrama? No, I meant Michelle Obama. Will her remarks be speech-napped again? Well, only time will tell,” he continued, referencing Melania Trump’s conspicuously familiar speech at the 2016 Republican National Convention.

Updated with Thursday details: The 2020 Democratic National Convention wraps four days of virtual party meetings, events and speeches Thursday night, when Joe Biden will formally accept the party’s presidential nomination in primetime.

The coronavirus pandemic scuttled plans for the usually in-person conventions for both Dems and Republicans (the latter have their convention next week); the election is November 3. In its place on the Dems’ side were a week of morning and afternoon meetings followed by a primetime block from 9-11 p.m. Et each night that features marquee speeches and musical performances including from Billie Eilish, John Legend and Jennifer Hudson.

Harris and former President Barack Obama fueled Wednesday night’s program, with Harris accepting the VP nomination to make history as the first woman of color to do so.

Jennifer Hudson stole the show at the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday night, performing Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come” inside the beautiful Chicago Cultural Center.

Unsurprisingly, Hudson killed it, bringing her Broadway-level vocal chops to a timeless anthem for racial justice and hope. But the truly jaw-dropping moment came during the last verse when Hudson decided to play to the acoustics of the building and stepped away from the mic to belt out the last few lines. It was, to say the least, a stunning show of her talent.

Kamala Harris will deliver the most important speech, so far, in her career, at tonight’s Democratic National Convention, as she accepts the nomination for vice president.

Pundits and analysts will pay particular attention to her ability to communicate effectively to a virtual audience, which more likely than not will be the way things will be as political season enters its final stretch in the fall campaign. She will be speaking at the Chase Center in Wilmington, De, restricted to a network pool.

A lot of people in Hollywood are watching: Harris has long cultivated ties to the entertainment business, centered in her home state, and her best friend is Chrisette Hudlin, a PR consultant married to director-writer Reginald Hudlin. It was Chrisette Hudlin who set up Harris on a blind date with entertainment lawyer Doug Emhoff, now her husband.

The 2020 Democratic National Convention — which will be almost entirely virtual — will start Monday, August 17th and wrap Thursday the 20th, with primetime speeches and other events set to take place between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m Et every evening.

Even in an election year without a pandemic, combining politics and music is a tricky proposition — but the Democratic National Convention, which begins tonight and runs through Thursday night, has assembled a lineup of (virtual) musical performances that is not only remarkably diverse, it also advances the party’s and presumptive candidates Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ messaging in ways that are both subtle and overt.

More than half of the announced performers are people of color, including Common, Jennifer Hudson and recent Variety cover star John Legend. The music of all three performers is relatively family-friendly, but all have been outspoken in their support of Democratic-leaning causes. Also on board are the Chicks — who recently changed their name from the Dixie Chicks to avoid the Civil War-era connotations of the word “Dixie” — who were one of the top country acts in the world until singer Natalie Maines’ 2003 criticism of then-president George W.

Democrats will intersperse their lineup of speakers and musical acts at this week’s convention with four entertainment figures who long have been active in party politics: Eva Longoria, Tracee Ellis Ross, Kerry Washington and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

Longoria will appear on Monday, Ross on Tuesday, Washington on Wednesday and Louis-Dreyfus on Thursday.

Monday’s lineup includes Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-vt), former Ohio Gov. John Kasich and former First Lady Michelle Obama. The convention will run from 9-11 p.m. Et each night.

Louis-Dreyfus will appear on the same night that Joe Biden accepts the Democratic nomination. She already has headlined a fundraiser for the former vice president, having appeared with him in a parody video during the run of Veep. Longoria spoke at the 2012 Democratic convention in Charlotte, Nc.

Because of the coronavirus, almost all of the convention will take virtually, after Democrats scrapped plans for speakers to travel to host city Milwaukee.

The Spanish flamenco singer took home the award for album of the year and best recording package for “El Mal Querer,” as well as Best Urban Song for her collaboration with J Balvin on “Con Altura.”

Alicia Keys will return as the host of the 62nd annual Grammy Awards.

Keys hosted the awards show for the first time in 2019. She will become the third woman and the first female music star to host the show twice. Keys has won 15 Grammy awards and is second only to Paul Simon as the Grammys host with the most trophies.

The 2020 Grammys will be the last to be overseen by longtime producer Ken Ehrlich, with “Late Late Show With James Corden” executive producer Ben Winston set to take over the awards show for its 63rd round.
