Animal Kingdom season 6 ended in 2022 with a dramatic finale that saw the deaths of some beloved central characters. The series, based off the 2010 Australian film of the same name, follows a family of criminals, the Codys, operating out of the town of Oceanside, California. Animal Kingdom’s dangerous characters and criminal focus have led to numerous character deaths over the course of its 6 seasons. Season 4 saw the death of the Cody family’s manipulative matriarch, Smurf (Ellen Barkin), at the hands of the young J Cody (Finn Cole), a murder committed in retribution for Smurf’s part in the death of Baz Blackwell (Scott Speedman), J’s likely father.
Much of Animal Kingdom season 6 focuses on an investigation into the death of Baz’s girlfriend, Catherine Belen (Daniella Alonso) from season 1. The callback to one of the earliest Animal Kingdom main character deaths sets the tone for a season centered...

The good news is we have Iris back! Of course, the bad news is that now Carlos is gone.
And this is why you should always have a buddy with you, unless you're Owen, because, by the end of 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 4 Episode 3, it was crystal clear that he sucks at choosing buddies.
It was another installment that was light on actual calls and heavy on arcs that will fundamentally affect a couple of characters.
As far as calls go, the team showing up at a cliff because a mentally ill man threw his sex doll over as outsiders thought it was a real woman wasn't something I could've envisioned.
These are classic Lone Star things.
Although, I'm having a tough time with how often the series is leaning into making mentally ill people the butt of the joke. Iris' reintroduction was played up for laughs in many of her scenes,...

“Animal Kingdom” is adding four recurring stars to its cast for the TNT drama’s sixth and final season.
Jasper Polish, Kevin Csolak, Darren Mann, and Stevie Lynn Jones will all join the show alongside stars Shawn Hatosy, Ben Robson, Jake Weary, Finn Cole, Leila George, Rigo Sanchez, and Jon Beavers.
Polish plays young Julia, described as beautiful, intelligent, and edgy. Although she’s an excellent student, she’s also the type of chick who sells tabs of LSD because she thinks it’s cool. She’s torn between loving and hating her mother, Smurf.
Polish is repped by Buchwald and Management 360.
Csolak plays Andrew, a young version of Shawn Hatosy’s character. Andrew is intense and struggling with an undiagnosed mental illness. He possesses a simmering rage but also instinctively searches for redemption as he struggles with his darkest impulses. He is completely devoted to Smurf, to his...

NBC is cleaning house on Sunday nights. They'll surely cancel American Dream Builders, they've cancelled Believe and they've also cancelled Crisis as well.
An action/thriller series, Crisis finds out what might happen if the children of powerful people from Washington, DC were to be taken prisoner. The cast includes Dermot Mulroney, Rachael Taylor, Lance Gross, James Lafferty, Max Martini, Michael Beach, Stevie Lynn Jones, Halston Sage, Max Schneider, Joshua Erenberg, and Gillian Anderson.
Unfortunately, this show seemed doomed from the start. It debuted to lackluster ratings and the numbers sank lower and lower each week. At one point, Crisis drew just a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.73 million viewers.
On the upside, it seems likely that NBC will release of the remaining episodes. Eight of the 13 episodes have aired so far.

Crisis could be NBC’s answer to a procedural hit.
Why? The show is backed by a high-caliber cast, some interesting twists, and enough potential storytelling to twist itself into something really explosive. Granted, none of that guarantees any success, but I will admit to being more involved than I expected to be, given the reveals of the first episode. (Let’s be honest: My main reason for tuning in to this show in the first place was my 20+ year love for Gillian Anderson, whom I will watch in anything and everything. So, it’s safe to say I was...

Anyone who's watched the political and personal machinations on "The West Wing" or "House of Cards" -- or watched cable news for half a day -- realizes that the rich and powerful can be just as vulnerable as human beings as anybody else.

Get a chance to get to know the students in NBC's new drama "Crisis" before the series premieres on Sunday (March 16) in this Zap2it-exclusive clip from the show's new webisode.
In the video, viewers are introduced to Ian (Max Schneider) and Beth Anne (Stevie Lynn Jones). The two students are discussing their upcoming school trip -- which, of course, gets hijacked and sets into motion the events of "Crisis" -- as well as Beth Anne's family problems.
The webisode is a little meta, because Schneider -- like Ian -- is known on YouTube and Twitter for his talents as a musician. "Crisis" also stars Dermot Mulroney, Gillian Anderson and Rachael Taylor.

"Crisis" is coming to NBC, according to Deadline.
The conspiracy drama from Rand Ravich stars "X-Files" veteran Gillian Anderson as the CEO of a conglomerate whose daughter is abducted along with her classmates. Rachael Taylor, who recently appeared in "666 Park Avenue" on ABC, plays Anderson's estranged sister, an FBI agent. NBC's "Crisis" also stars Dermot Mulroney, James Lafferty, Max Martini, Stevie Lynn Jones and Halston Sage.
Here's the logline for NBC's "Crisis" via The Hollywood Reporter: "When Washington's most powerful players are pulled into an international conspiracy, an unlikely puppeteer will bring everyone from CEOs to The President of the United States to their knees by threatening the things they hold most dear."
In addition to "Crisis," NBC also ordered Jason Katims's adaptation of "About A Boy," J.J. Abrams's "Believe," "Family Guide" starring Parker Posey and the Sean Hayes/Victor Fresco comedy.
