"The North Star" Produced by Actor/Producer Clifton Powell who performs
as Mr.Lee and in a scene with Frederick Douglass(Actor Keith David) and
was Keith David's Stand-In and in a scene with Actress Lynn Whitfield
who plays Ms.Grace. He helped cast and acted as Mouse the sidekick of
Blacktrick in the comedic short film "St.Blacktrick" Project 21's 21
day Short Filmmaking Competiton 2012. Thurmond grants his personal
experience in the film industry in the documentary "Aspiring: A
Documentary for Actors by Actors" by NJ Filmlife. In the Dramedy "Sex,
Lies, and Fish" he is Dominic Vinta, in the Drama "Fick-le" as Reporter
Allen Jefferson and Bodyguard #2 and he was the 2nd Assistant Director
and Key PA on the Production Crew, in the Sci-Fi "Alien Exorcism" as
Demon-Possessed Priest Marduk and "Steel Predators" as Duke Kotto the
Mercenary(blend of Bill Duke and Yahphet Kotto). As well as short films
" Mama's Hat" as a church patron and "Quiet Ride" as the Kinky Art
Teacher. He Directed "Michael's Fall", "Terra-Ists" and "Cicily Strip:
The Last Puppeteer of Mellow-Mole". He appeared twice in a Joe's Crab
Shack Commercial for TBS Very Funny News. And he played "Malik the
Janitor" in the first 2 episodes of the comedy webseries "The Corporate
Brother" and "Joe Kony" in the comedic short webvideo "Kony 2012-Shit
Kony Says" on Youtube by jasonmovies. He is Chris in the upcoming short
film "TA: Texters Anonymous". He was a member of The Wild Thyme Players
Theatre Group headlining the play as Dr.Dominic Portobello-The Best Man
in "A Wedding to Die for..." The Audience Interactive Dinner Theatre
Play, an Italian-Jewish Wedding Murder Mystery. He appeared in Hip-Hop
Artist Nas "The Don" Music Video as a Background Actor and in Jermaine
Jones "All Around The World" Music Video as a Reporter and Dinner
Guest. He helped cast the Tom Charles "Don't Ask" Music Video and many
other projects. He also works as a Writer, Casting Director, Director,
Producer and Promoter for Independent Films, Fashion Shows, Webseries
and Music Videos. He was the Casting Director for the New Hollywood
Movement for a short time. Thurmond has lived in Chicago, Detroit,
Arkansas, Texas, New Jersey, and currently resides in Philadelphia.
