Kim A. Nelson

IMDbProStarmeterSee rank
Kim Nelson was born and raised in Southern California. Growing up, Kim was always involved with drama and acting but playing water polo and swimming on a world class competitive level demanded a temporary shift in priorities.

Kim went on to play water polo as a varsity athlete for UCLA, the number one school in the nation for water polo during her years there. She won 3 National championship titles back to back, one of which was the first 100th national title for any University. She studied History and continued her passion for acting at UCLA by taking theatre classes and performing in talent showcases every year. She won the "UCLA Big Dance" talent show her second year as a representative of the women's water polo team. During her time at school, Kim was scouted by a theatrical agent on UCLA'S campus, but due to NCAA rules, she could not take any modeling or acting jobs until she graduated college and finished her eligibility. As soon as she finished her time at UCLA, Kim was recruited to multiple modeling agencies and signed globally with renowned Wilhelmina Model Management and commercially by Innovative Artists, by whom she is still currently represented.

Kim has been seen in numerous ad campaigns and worked for brands such as Lee jeans, Sports Authority, Sheraton hotels, Lucy Activewear, Speedo, Ulta beauty, Shape Magazine, Self Magazine, Levis, Cabi clothing among many others. She has also been seen in national commercials for McDonalds, Ebay, Farmer John among others as well as in the hugely popular LIFETIME ORIGINAL movie, "Will and Kate", where Kim played Will's college girlfriend.

Kim is passionate about acting, and has natural knack and love for comedy. She has continued her studies with acclaimed acting coaches in LA when she would be in town during breaks from modeling jobs internationally as well as professional water polo league obligations. She had greatly been impacted by respected teachers such as Howard Fine, Margie Haber, and comedy institutions such as The Groundlings and Upright Citizens Brigade.

She is currently enrolled in the core track at The Groundlings.

She is based in Los Angeles.
