Rhenzy Feliz walked into West Hollywood’s Soho House Holloway on Wednesday for The Hollywood Reporter’s Next Gen bash in partnership with Instagram and Waymo, posed for a couple of photos and then managed to perfectly capture the spirit of the celebration in a few short sentences.

TLC star Jazz Jennings of I Am Jazz fame has recently showcased a fantasy-themed photoshoot on her Instagram post. The post and recent others reflect Jennings’ recent weight loss. Thanks to this, fans are debating if the star is using drugs like Ozempic, while others are showing their support for Jennings.
Jazz Jennings Even Shared A Poem With The Post
In the photo, Jennings shared a photo of herself wearing a silvery dress with a pair of angelic wings on back. In the second photo, she paired this look with a sash covering her eyes and holding a scale, resembling the personification of justice.
The post was paired by a poem entitled, “The Libra’s Curse,” written by Jennings herself. In a brief excerpt, she wrote, “The happy place is where all aim to reside; The joy of life is not by how long, but how wide…So next time...

If you're a fan of drama, drama, and more drama, as well as historical shows like Bridgerton and The Gilded Age, then you probably became an instant fan of The Buccaneers on Apple TV+ when the series first debuted in 2023. I was certainly in that boat! The twists and turns in the story really managed to surprise me, and I can't wait for The Buccaneers season 2.
A little over a month following the premiere of the historical drama, Apple TV+ shared that it was renewed for a second season. Since then, news and updates have been scarce. Filming began this past summer, but no release date has been shared yet. Though we do have one exciting update now!

Apple TV+’s series The Buccaneers is taking on a new crew member.
Leighton Meester is joining the period drama for its forthcoming second season. Details on the character the former Gossip Girl and Single Parents star will play are being kept quiet for now.
Meester will become part of a cast that also includes Kristine Frøseth, Alisha Boe, Josie Totah, Aubri Ibrag, Imogen Waterhouse, Christina Hendricks, Mia Threapleton, Guy Remmers, Matthew Broome, Josh Dylan and Barney Fishwick.
The Buccaneers is based on an unfinished novel by Edith Wharton and follows a group of American girls who burst onto the London social scene in the 1870s, setting off an Anglo-American culture clash. In season two, the group has settled in London and taken their places in society: Nan (Frøseth) is now a duchess, Conchita (Boe) has also married into nobility, and Jinny (Waterhouse) is a celebrity — albeit one wanted for kidnapping her unborn child.

A year ago, Legendary Entertainment’s remake of the infamous 1978 box office hit Faces of Death (get it Here) went into production in Louisiana, with Barbie Ferreira of the HBO series Euphoria, Dacre Montgomery of Netflix’s Stranger Things, Josie Totah of the recent Saved by the Bell revival, Jermaine Fowler of The Blackening, and singer Charli Xcx making up the cast. We haven’t heard a release date for this one yet, but it did just take a major step forward: it has gotten its rating from the Motion Picture Association ratings board. They have announced that the Faces of Death remake has received an R rating for strong bloody violence and gore, sexual content, nudity, language and drug use.
The first Faces of Death was about a pathologist exploring gruesome ways to die via footage purportedly culled from around the world. In reality, most of the death scenes were staged,...

Hey, remember that there’s a Faces of Death remake on the way from Legendary Entertainment and Cam filmmakers Isa Mazzei and Daniel Goldhaber?! It’s been a while since we’ve heard a peep about this one, but the film’s MPA rating has been handed in this week.
The upcoming Faces of Death remake is rated “R” for…
“Strong bloody violence and gore, sexual content, nudity, language and drug use.”
Musician Charli Xcx will make her feature debut in Faces of Death.
Dacre Montgomery (“Stranger Things”), Barbie Ferreira (“Euphoria”), Josie Totah (“Saved by the Bell”) and Aaron Holliday (Cocaine Bear) are also set to star.
How do you remake Faces of Death? It sounds like Mazzei and Goldhaber have come up with an interesting approach for this one. Here’s what we know about this mysterious project.

Sam Claflin as Billy Dunne, Daisy Jones & the Six (Prime Video)
Claflin had no trouble slipping into the intense feelings of ’70s-era singer Billy Dunne. “Emotions were so on the edge for me at the time,” says Claflin. “Previously when I’d shot emotional scenes, I’ve needed a tear stick to help push me over the edge. But on Daisy, I didn’t need one ounce of help.”
For Claflin, it was partially his own divorce that still loomed over him, but also the fact that star-crossed love was not an unfamiliar concept. “I have experienced unrequited love, the chasing and the inability of making certain decisions in certain moments,” he says. “There were so many conversations between Billy and Camila (Camila Morrone), or Billy and Daisy (Riley Keough), that I have experienced firsthand or seen friends go through.”

Whether it’s the conclusion of juggernaut hits or new shows that sparked conversation, the television medium delivered in 2023.
The anticipated adaptation of “Daisy Jones & the Six” kept us dancing (and crying) in the spring, while the brilliantly devastating conclusion of “Succession” left us catching our breath in May. “The Last of Us” reminded us of the real emotional stakes of a zombie apocalypse, and Netflix’s “Beef” showed us the depths a person can go to when seeking retribution.
The historic Hollywood double strikes delayed the returns of our favorite broadcast series in the fall, but streaming series like “The Buccaneers” and “The Curse,” and linear hits like “The Golden Bachelor” and “Fargo” kept us glued to our screens this year.

Today, Netflix released character descriptions along with some additional casting for their upcoming limited series, Zero Day.
Zero Day asks the question on everyone’s mind -- how do we find truth in a world in crisis, one seemingly being torn apart by forces outside our control?
And in an era rife with conspiracy theory and subterfuge, how much of those forces are products of our own doing, perhaps even of our own imagining?
As previously announced, Robert De Niro leads the cast as George Mullen, a massively popular but complicated former American President who is pulled from retirement to head a commission tasked with investigating a devastating global cyber-attack.
Angela Bassett, Dan Stevens, Matthew Modine, Bill Camp, and McKinley Belcher III have been added to the cast, along with Gaby Hoffman, Clark Gregg, and Mark Ivan.
Bassett will play President Mitchell, a brilliant and perceptive political tactician with an allegiance to Mullen.

“The Buccaneers” might look like “Bridgerton” at first glance, but the two are very different, and the music and soundtrack heavily differentiate the shows, in addition to their plots.
Adapted from Edith Wharton’s unfinished novel, the Apple TV+ drama tells the story of five young American girls who clash with stuffy English society when they enter the marriage market in search of husbands. Nan St. George operates as the central character, and she doesn’t exactly have love or marriage on her radar, but of course she eventually finds herself in a love triangle situation between Guy Thwarte (Matthew broome) and Theo (Guy Remmers). Nan’s sister Jinny St. George more actively seeks out a husband, while their friend Conchitta Closson (Alisha Boe) gets married in the first episode. The Elmsworth sisters Lizzy (Tk) and (Josie Totah) also navigate the mix in their own ways.

The new Apple TV+ series “The Buccaneers” may take place in the 1870s, but the soundtrack is downright modern.
Adapted from Edith Wharton’s unfinished novel, “The Buccaneers” centers on young American women descended from old English society who are making waves in both America and England. Kristine Froseth plays Annabelle “Nan” St. George, the central character who finds herself caught in a love triangle between two very different men — Guy Thwarte (Matthew Broome) and Theo (Guy Remmers) who is a Duke. Marriage is the last thing on Nan’s mind until she meets first Guy, and then Theo.
Other ensemble stars include Alisha Boe as Conchitta Closson, Imogen Waterhouse as Virginia “Jinny” St. George, Josie Totah as Mabel Elmsworth and Aubri Ibrag as Lizzy Elmsworth. The St. Georges face pressure from their mother (Christina Hendricks) to find husbands wealthy enough to take care of them once they marry. This...

This article contains spoilers for The Buccaneers episode 1.
Based on Edith Wharton’s unfinished novel, The Buccaneers is Apple TV+’s newest original series. The story follows five young American women from wealthy families in the 1870s looking to move up the social ladder by marrying the cash-poor and status-rich sons of the British gentry.
The first episode, “American Poison,” introduces the young women, their families, and the way the marriage market is not as romantic as depicted in other period dramas or previous Wharton adaptations. Conchita “Conchi” Closson (Alisha Boe) was the first American woman to marry a British Duke. Her friends Annabelle “Nan” St. George (Kristine Frøseth) and her sister Virginia “Jinny” (Imogen Waterhouse) plus sisters Mabel (Josie Totah) and Lizzie (Aubri Ibrag) Elmsworth are also hoping some of Conchi’s luck rubs off on them. It’s safe to say “The Buccaneers” is the only period piece this year with Taylor Swift on the soundtrack.
Clearly taking a cue from Netflix’s smash costume drama “Bridgerton” — which famously dropped covers of current pop hits amidst all the bodice-ripping — “The Buccaneers” is the latest attempt to make the marriage-market intrigue of 18th-century romance work for Gen Z.
Based upon Edith Wharton’s unfinished last novel, “The Buccaneers” follows five new-money American ladies who travel across the pond to bail out London’s aristocratic families who have good titles but no cash. Exclusive: Veteran British director Susanna White has revealed she’s working on a feature film based on her teenage life set against changes in the fashion world, as she gears up for today’s launch of Apple TV+ period drama The Buccaneers.
White is developing an untitled script for the BFI, the first time she has written a feature script herself, and the plot is based on her personal coming of age story. “It’s the story of me at 13, set in the world of fashion in early 1970s,” she told Deadline in an interview. “It’s very fun, sexy and hopefully moving.”
We hear the film will follow 13-year-old Gingernut as she grows up with the fur trade’s decline playing out in the background. The plot will see her trying to make sense of her parents’ dysfunctional relationship and include themes of family, growing up, betrayal, love and loss.

Apple TV+’s The Buccaneers opens with a wedding that almost doesn’t happen. As Conchita (Alisha Boe) frets in her family’s New York mansion, Lord Richard (Josh Dylan) pulls up late with a breakup letter in hand, worried his free-spirited fiancée won’t “fit” with his uptight English family. It’s only when Nan (Kristine Frøseth), Conchita’s maid of honor, reminds Richard that nothing matters but their love that he rips up the note and goes ahead with what looks to be the most lavish nuptials of the century.

Girls with money, men with power. New money, old secrets. A group of fun-loving young American girls explode into the tightly corseted London season of the 1870s, kicking off an Anglo-American culture clash as the land of the stiff upper lip is infiltrated by a refreshing disregard for centuries of tradition. Sent to secure husbands and titles, the buccaneers’ hearts are set on much more than that, and saying “I do” is just the beginning…

Apple TV+ is channeling Bridgerton and The Sex Lives of College Girls in the first trailer for its new drama series The Buccaneers, and we're definitely interested in what comes next.
The series has a target audience, and running the trailer to the sound of Olivia Rodrigo's "All-American B----" is a choice.
The series blends 1870s English aristocracy with a modern soundtrack produced by Stella Mozgawa (of the band Warpaint) and packed with songs from today's top female performers that include Taylor Swift, Boygenius, Maggie Rogers, Bikini Kill, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Angel Olsen, Brandi Carlile and more.
Interestingly, original music from Folick, Lucius, Alison Mosshart, Warpaint, Gracie Abrams, Sharon Van Etten, Bully, Danielle Ponder, and more are thrown in for good measure.
