Mike Connell(VIII)

Mike Connell was born in Dublin,Ireland, lived in Toronto for a year, and finally moved to Oceanside,NY, in 1968 where he still lives to this day. He spent his days and nights dreaming of becoming a performer of some kind. But with the singing voice of an angry goat and the rhythm of a coffee table, he realized that acting was where he truly belonged. He enrolled in the AADA evening program and from there, he knew there was no other life for him. He continued his studies at HB Studios for a time and started getting roles in regional and dinner theater around NY and then started getting calls to audition for commercial and film roles. That's when life interrupted and he chose to dedicate his time to raising his son and then,sons(3). After 20yrs or so,and three successful young men went out into the world, he threw himself back into his dream with a renewed enthusiasm. Sincee then, he's happily been working almost non-stop in theater and, mostly, film. He can proudly say that he hasn't gone more than a week or two without a script in his hand in the few years since he re-entered the business. He had a successful run in an off-Broadway show,(8months) followed by a variety of roles, large and small, in shorts, features, spec commercials, Internet series, and television. He brings to all his roles an unbridled enthusiasm and dedication, as well as a work ethic, that comes from blue collar parents and a thirty year career in construction. You might beat him, but you'll never outwork him.
