Terry J. Torrington is a Brooklyn born and raised producer, writer and actor. He is the Co-founder and Creative Director of SLAY Media House, a leading online entertainment destination for Queer and Trans People of Color (QTPOC). Terry's contributions to creative work laid the foundation for what is SLAY. As a global media network, SLAY includes: SLAY Studio, a writers' collective of content creators including directors, producers and actors; SLAY Agency; and the multi-media digital platform that elevates the narratives of Queer and Trans People of Color, SLAY TV.
Before SLAY TV, Terry co-created the queer media application ARTKUTEC as an online space for QTPOC to find multimedia made for and by their community. The app was incorporated into the SLAY TV platform in 2017. In May 2019, the next iteration will launch for Android and Mac devices, providing rich content to a global audience.
In 2016, Terry released Love At First Night, a series that won Best Web Series at the American Rainbow Film Festival sponsored by HBO. Love At First Night went on for 3 seasons.
As an actor, Terry has appeared in World Hip Hop viral videos such as Starkeisha's Paternity Test and Goons VS Gays 1-6, in addition to the web series No Shade.Terry has been featured on Independent Television Panels at Brooklyn College and The Young Producers Club at the Apollo.
