Shaun is an award-winning cinematographer, producer, director, screenwriter, and editor known for his diverse contributions to film, television and media. In January 2012, he founded the production company, Picto Films. Ten months later, Picto's debut film, The Note (2012), earned an Official Selection at the 2012 American Independent Film Festival and a Hollywood screening.
Since then, Shaun has showcased his talents across various projects. He gained recognition for his editing work on Amazon's original series, Hand of God (2014), and the Netflix series, Narcos (2015). He wrote and produced Nine Seconds (2017), starring Gavin Casalegno (The Summer I Turned Pretty), and the documentary Gene Simmons Vault Experience, with Gene Simmons of the legendary rock band, KISS.
Shaun's first foray into writing for television, Quest, won a 2013 Hollywood Screenplay Award in the category of Best Television Drama. Executive Director, John Vincent, stated, "Quest has earned special distinction as among the very best of the best." In 2017, Shaun optioned his first feature screenplay, Stranger, which caught the attention of John Crye, Head of Acquisitions at Newmarket Films, and producer on Christopher Nolan's Memento.
In 2023, Shaun made his feature directorial debut with Beyond The After, a film that garnered widespread attention on the 2023 independent film circuit. The film received 21 awards, including Best Indie Feature at the Los Angeles Film Awards (LAFA) and Best Director at the Milan Gold Awards.
