Doug Williams III will show up on Days of our Lives next week. Peyton Meyer plays the brand-new character in Salem, and it sounds like he’s bringing a whole lot of trouble with him.
Who Is Doug Williams III?
The third Doug Williams is the late Doug Williams’ (Bill Hayes) grandson, and it sounds like he gets off to a bit of a rocky start in Salem. Meyer told TV Insider about the character.
“When we first meet Doug, he’s a mischievous guy,” Meyer said. “He’s in and out of trouble. No matter where he goes, chaos comes with him. He’s not purposefully mischievous or purposefully wishes harm on people. I think it’s just how he grew up, that everything he does ends up causing a bad karmic chaos storm behind him. He’s a gentle guy and he’s peaceful, but it seems that...

Peyton Meyer has joined the cast of “Days of our Lives” in the newly created role of Doug Williams III, the grandson of the late Doug Williams (played by the late Bill Hayes). His first airdate is set for Tuesday, December 3.
Fans first got a glimpse of Meyer earlier this month when he appeared in the “Day of Days” sneak peek highlighting what’s to come on the daytime drama series this season.
In an interview with TV Insider, Meyer describes his character as a “mischievous” young man, similar to how the first Doug Williams was introduced in 1970. “He’s in and out of trouble. No matter where he goes, chaos comes with him. He’s not purposefully mischievous or purposefully wishes harm on people,” Meyer notes. “I think it’s just how he grew up, that everything he does ends up causing a bad karmic chaos storm behind him.

Peyton Meyer will make his soap debut on Days of Our Lives on December 3 as a new character, Doug Williams III, grandson of the late Doug Williams (Bill Hayes). Meyer, who began acting as a child, was living across the country when the opportunity to join the show came his way. “It’s a little bit of a crazy story,” he begins. “I lived for about 10 years in L.A. and then right around Covid time, I left L.A. and moved to Nashville and spent about two-and-a-half years there. I took some time off and then said, ‘I want to start acting again. I’m ready to get back in it.’ I booked a room in a house with some of my buddies. Four days after I had moved my stuff into that new house, I booked Days of our Lives, so it worked out perfectly; the timing was unbelievable.

For Gen-x viewers, He’s All That is a story we’ve seen before: Pygmalion or My Fair Lady, but updated with cultural references, settings, and technology that make the story of the lesson behind the plot—that the person you are is more important than the image you put forth—more connected to a modern audience. But digital natives who have grown up with as much with TikTok as with teen movie tropes will have a far richer experience, recognizing the cast not only as actors, but as the same influencers they’re playing.
From director Mark Waters, this update, a gender-bent response to 1999’s iconic She’s All That, features a young influencer who, due to the live broadcast of a messy breakup with her budding rock-star boyfriend, loses her sponsorship (and is outed as the poor girl she truly is). The only way to get her sponsor back and...

Before anyone labels “He’s All That” as a rote remake, consider this: It’s a reimagining that — unlike “She’s All That” or the source material that inspired it, George Bernard Shaw’s “Pygmalion” — is rooted primarily in the female perspective. It’s a shame though that director Mark Waters and returning screenwriter R. Lee Fleming Jr. don’t put a savvier spin on the conventional, frequently-lampooned tropes and clichés. And while it’s possible to make the formulaic and familiar resound fantastically, that concept has evaded these filmmakers here. Neither bland regurgitation nor innovative retelling, the remake falls somewhere in between, suffering greatly by not establishing a more distinctive identity.

The charming if cheesy 1999 rom-com “She’s All That,” starring Freddie Prinze Jr. as a hot jock and Rachael Leigh Cook as the introverted art nerd he tries to transform into a glittering prom queen, turns 23 next year. Feel old yet? If you’re old enough for that Miramax production directed by Robert Iscove to mean anything, you’re probably too old for Netflix’s gender-flipped new sequel, “He’s All That,” to mean anything at all. Unless you enjoy the feeling of your soul being destroyed by another piece of Netflix clickbait, this is one to skip.

Netflix released the first trailer for “He’s All That” on Wednesday, which stars TikTok star Addison Rae as a popular beauty influencer determined to turn her scruffy classmate into prom king. So yes, it’s a pretty identical plot to the 1999 teen rom-com “She’s All That” — but with a gender flip thrown in.
“He’s All That” follows teen social media influencer Padgett (Rae) as she endures a humiliating breakup that goes viral after she catches her pop star boyfriend cheating on her while she’s live-streaming him.
To fix her reputation, Padgett makes a bet that she can turn the school’s least popular student, Cameron Kweller (“Cobra Kai’s” Tanner Buchanan), into prom king material. But when she finds herself actually falling for him — amid horseback riding dates and, of course, an elaborate makeover — things get a bit messy.

The power of an Aaron Rodgers retweet is undeniable.
With the click of a button, the Green Bay Packers quarterback granted the wish of a group of Janesville, Iowa, high school students attempting to get out of a final exam.
Janesville Consolidated School District sports literature teacher Laura Roberts, a die-hard Rodgers fan, agreed to cancel the test if the NFL star retweeted someone from her class.
And on Friday, Peyton Meyer stepped up. The student sent out a tweet saying: “@AaronRodgers12 our teacher agreed to not give us a final in sports lit if you retweet this! Please Retweet She Is Your Biggest Fan!

‘Girl Meets World’ Visits ‘Boy Meets World’ Ski Lodge: Will Love Triangle Survive? (Exclusive Video)

In this exclusive clip from the highly anticipated “Girl Meets Ski Lodge” (above), Riley (Rowan Blanchard), Lucas (Peyton Meyer) and Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) sit down in a different bay window and discuss their situation, which still seems impossible to resolve. Riley cradles a fallen leaf, waxing poetic about how nature knows when it’s time to take a new form and break free from its previous life — perfectly analogizing the stagnant and awkward situation the kids have gotten themselves into.
