Justin Hutchinson - Chatburn is an accomplished Production Designer / Art Director who has been working in the film and animation industry for over fifteen years.
In 2000 Justin graduated from the Royal College of Art with a Masters Degree in illustration. From there he went on to pursue his passion for story telling and visual effects by starting out as a Digital Matte Painter. Eventually he crossed paths with the now Award Winning Design Studio Painting Practice where he made an entry point into design.
During his period at Painting Practice Justin received two BAFTA nominations for VFX Supervision for Black Mirror. In addition he also received an Art Directors Guild award for art direction and the Bulldog award for VFX Supervision for the episode 'Play Test'.
As an art director, Justin has worked across numerous commercials, both live action and animation and played a key role in numerous development projects for major studios such as Disney, Paramount, and Universal.
In late 2019 Justin became an independent Art Director and Production Designer and is stationed at at Locksmith Animation as Production Designer on the upcoming animated feature film 'That Christmas'.
