Riccardo Leonelli is an actor, theatre director, play writer and since 2021 is the Artistic Director of the Terni Film Festival.
He was born in 1980 and he took his diploma at the National Academy of Drama "Silvio d'Amico" in Rome. He has been the main character in the international movie Obce cialo (Foreign body) directed by Krzysztof Zanussi, presented in 2014 at Toronto International Film Festival, Chicago International Film Festival and Warsaw Film Festival. He also acted as leading role in Young Europe and Outing - Fidanzati per sbaglio, both directed by Matteo Vicino. The short movie Taxi - that Riccardo wrote and played as protagonist - won 11 awards in United States, including Best Actor, Best Duo and Best Screenplay. He has worked as actor in the following Rai Tv series: Non mi lasciare, Lea e i bambini degli altri, La fuggitiva, Nero a metà 2, Il Paradiso delle signore 1, Luisa Spagnoli, Baciato dal sole, Una pallottola nel cuore 1&2, Un passo dal cielo 3&5, Don Matteo 12 and in Centovetrine for Mediaset.
