Ernest Hariyanto is a documentary filmmaker, producer, writer, and editor. He is known for the award-winning documentary feature Jalanan (2013), the internationally acclaimed film Laya Project (2007), and most recently the Australian avant garde documentary feature, You Should Have Been Here Yesterday (2023).
He co-produced, wrote, and edited Jalanan (2013), which won the Best Documentary award at the prestigious Busan International Film Festival 2013. Ernest is a member of the Australian Screen Editor Guild (ASE) and Australia Academy Cinema Television Arts (AACTA).
