Shepherd Ahlers is an independent motion picture producer, freelance assistant director, and founder of the narrative focused Midwest production company, Metals. He has extensive experience in production management, and is a member of the Directors Guild of America. He produced the debut short film Two Dollar Bill (2016) with writer/director Hannah Marks which won "best overall short" at CineYouth Chicago in 2016. He has worked internationally as a documentary cinematographer, and got his start doing post production for films, television and commercial productions, giving him a broad range of experience in the industry.
