Amanda Brooke Lerner (Founder & CEO) is a multiple-award-winning actress with over 50 indie films and TV credits including Awkwafina Is NORA FROM QUEENS (opposite B.D. Wong), MAC & CHEESE (opposite Julia Garner), Starz POWER (opposite Omari Hardwick), and the upcoming feature BROOKLYN with Francesca Scorsese and Margaret Cho.
Theatrically, she originated the role of Marie in Kirt Shineman's GOOD GRIEF at The Cell (in association with Dramatists Guild Foundation), and appeared as Dr. Judy Wood in BASKET WEAVER at Playwrights Horizons, Lillie in STILL, BIRTH at Theatre for A New City, regionally as Blanche Dubois in A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE, and countless readings in the Playwrights & Directors Unit at The Actors Studio. Amanda is the director of the off-Broadway hit show, ANNE BEING FRANK, which is making its way from the US to Australia.
Amanda holds a BFA in Acting from Rutgers University and has trained extensively with legendary teachers including Bill Esper, Larry Moss, Maggie Flanigan, Tim Phillips, and Deborah Hedwall. Amanda is a proud member of AEA and SAG-AFTRA, serving on the National Low Budget Film Committee since 2019 and as a Convention Delegate.
Amanda is the CEO and founder of The Actor & The Biz and has built a tremendous reputation as an acting and career coach specializing in educating and preparing actors for the rigors and realities of show biz. She is utilized by many professionals across TV, film and stage, and is CEO Jen Rudolph's lead business coach for The 2% Collective.
As a Hard of Hearing (HoH) person, Amanda is on a mission to establish authentic representation in the entertainment world for those caught between the Hard of Hearing and hearing worlds. She is working to help neutralize the stigma and #MakeHearingAidsCool
A 4th generation New Yorker, Amanda is obsessed with 1940's pinup dresses, mid-century modern design and sea salt dark chocolate.
