Chris Hadfield was born on 29 August 1959 in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. He is an actor and writer, known for Atop the Fourth Wall (2008), Trailer Park Boys: Out of the Park (2016) and Playing Space with Bubbles (2014). He has been married to Helene Walter since 23 December 1981. They have three children.

In 2001, he became the first Canadian to ever leave a spacecraft and float freely in space.

In 2012, became the first Canadian to command the International Space Station.
