Stephen Sawchuk is an award-winning Writer/Director/Producer based in Vancouver, British Columbia with a wealth of experience executing large-scale scripted & unscripted projects. Over the past 15 years, Stephen has produced well over 120 hours of film & television for networks and streamers including Apple TV, MGM, Hulu, The CW, Peacock, HGTV, E, Lifetime and many others. Stephen has had the pleasure of working with Academy Award-winning and Grammy-winning A-list talent, and has produced projects across the globe.

His award-winning short film 'Hell is a Teenage Girl' has been sweeping the festival circuit, spawning the development of a feature-length adaptation, which was selected for the 2024 Blood in the Snow Horror Development Lab. The short held its Canadian premiere at the highly coveted 2024 Fantasia International Film Festival and was an Official Selection of the 57th Annual Houston WorldFest (WINNER: Gold Remi for Best Horror Short), 2024 Mammoth Film Festival (NOMINEE: Achievements in Directing, Writing, Cinematography, Acting), 2024 Cannes Indie Int'l Film Festival (WINNER: Best Horror, Best Director), 2024 Luxembourg Indie Int'l Film Festival (WINNER: Best Actress), 2024 Vancouver Horror Show (WINNER: Best Ensemble Cast, NOMINEE: Best BC Director, Best BC Film), 2024 Scream Fest NOLA, 2024 Chicago Horror Film Festival, 2024 Atlanta Horror Film Festival, 2024 Saskatoon Fantastic Fest, 2024 Night Terrors Festival (NOMINEE: Audience Choice Award) and the 2025 Oregon Scream Week (NOMINEE: Best Horror Comedy). Stephen is in active development on the feature-length adaptation, along with two other genre features - a revenge-fueled body horror titled 'American Oxygen (w/t)' and a whodunnit teen slasher titled 'Summer Bodies (w/t)'.
