New and Upcoming Sci-Fi and Fantasy

Laya Aiesha Lewis is a British actress and voiceover artist. Born in South London but raised in Bristol, Laya got her start in acting at 18 when she was cast as rebellious, provocative, and fun-loving party animal Olivia "Liv" Malone in the fifth and sixth series of the E4 drama Skins (2007).

Since 'Skins', Laya has continued working in film and television. Her second most notable role was as the titular protagonist in the biographical short film Beverley (2015), which earned her several awards for Best Actress, as well as the BBC Award for Best Emerging Talent at the 2016 BUFF Awards. Laya also starred as the female lead in the music video for Emeli Sandé's 2012 single, "My Kind of Love".

In April 2023, Laya made her stage debut as Ruth in the play 'Unseen Unheard: The untold breast cancer stories of black women in the UK'. As of now, Laya mostly does commercial and voiceover work, even lending her voice for the indents for 'The Radio 1 Breakfast Show' and the documentary Gay Under the Taliban (2022).
