Warda Al-Jazairia was born on 22 July 1939 in Puteaux, Seine [now Hauts-de-Seine], France. She was an actress, known for Almaz and Abdou Al-Hamouli (1962), Ah ya Lail ya Zaman (1977) and Sound of Love (1973). She was married to Baligh Hamdy and Jamal Qusairi. She died on 17 May 2012 in Cairo, Egypt.

Her stage name translates to &quot;Algerian Rose&quot; in English.

Born in France to an Algerian father and Lebanese mother.

Underwent a liver transplant in Paris, France.

Mother of Riyad and Wedad from her first marriage.
