Christine Sclafani was born in an Italian section of Paterson, New Jersey, first child to Italian American parents from Bronx, NY, Lorene Sclafani (homemaker) and Frank Sclafani (drummer and lithographer). Christine is third generation Italian American whose great grandparents immigrated from Palermo Italy to Ellis Island NY. She has one sister, Janene. Both sisters hold dual citizenship in Italy and the USA.
Christine was raised mostly in South Florida. Her parents divorced when she was nine years old, and home life changed. An avid roller skater at the time, she joined the neighborhood roller rink's "speed team" and that's where she spent a lot of her time perfecting her skill of roller skating and learning how to jam skate. These younger years spent in the roller rink impacted her life in so many positive ways, it helped her discover who she was and its where she forged so many meaningful friendships.
Christine juggled multiple jobs through high school, realizing she didn't want to go to college and work a nine to five job. She learned at a very young age if you want something, you must work for it. She recognized her artistic and creative talents and attended Sheridan Vocational where she obtained a cosmetology license. Simultaneously, the "never camera-shy beauty" started modeling out of Miami, FL for several swimwear, lingerie and sportswear companies. She competed in "Hawaiian Tropic" and "Venus" swimsuit competitions and won "Miss World of Wheels" in the early 90's. In addition, Christine was featured in numerous magazines such as Playboy, Harley Davidson, and Swimwear Illustrated - just to name a few. She also appeared as a "featured extra" in the movie "Birdcage" that filmed in Miami Beach FL, starring Robin Williams and Nathan Lane, which ignited the "acting bug" in her. With the desire and drive to pursue a career in "Showbiz" she moved to New York City to study dance and theater.
Along with acting studies, Christine attended LaValle's East Coast Karate and Kickboxing. For many years, she trained under Kiyoshi Steve Lavallee in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Kenpo, Muay Thai, Taekwondo and Kickboxing earning her first-degree black belt. Shortly after, Christine joined an acting group that ultimately brought her to Los Angeles to perform in a showcase in front of Agents and Managers for possible representation. Since then and to perfect her craft, she has studied with the finest acting coaches such as Howard Fine, Lesly Kahn, and Sandy Marshall. She also attended the Upright Citizens Brigade for Improv.
A professional Model, Actress, Host and Spokesperson, Christine's love for the camera is undeniable. Along with acting, roller skating and MMA, she shares a love for drums, photography, cinematography, directing and the making of films. Christine is a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild/AFTRA and Women in Film.
