Resigned to her fate, Violet is caught by surprise when she meets aspiring comedian Jimmy Rhodes (Weldon) and sparks fly.

The 11th Annual Indie Series Awards nominations in 28 categories were revealed on Wednesday via Twitter. The ISAs celebrate the best in independently produced entertainment created for the Web.

Indoor Boys led all series with 15 total nominations. The show is joined in the Best Comedy Series category by Before We Go, FabUless, F#Cking 40, La règle de (3), The Ninth, Poor Us and Three Year Letterman.

Poz Roz and Studio City earned 12 nominations apiece to lead the dramas. They are joined in the Best Drama Series field by After Forever, The Bay, Bronx Siu, People Like Us, A Place Called Hollywood and Save Me.

In all, there are 33 nominated series from around the globe. Crystal trophies will be presented to the winners during a gala ceremony on April 1 at The Colony Theatre in Burbank, California. The two-day celebration includes a launch party, red carpet reception, press walk, presentation ceremony and official after party.

Conan O'Brien is bringing back his pop-up comedy club, Team Coco House, to San Diego for Comic-Con 2019.

Conan O'Brien is making his triumphant return to San Diego Comic-Con. Just as the red-headed late night icon has in years past, Conan will be taping shows at Comic-Con International at San Diego's Spreckels Theatre from Wednesday July 17th through Saturday, July 20th.

But just like last year, however, Conan and his Team Coco have decided that there's no reason for just him to have all the fun. For the third year in a row, Team Coco and TBS have announced that Team Coco House, a pop-up comedy club will be returning to San Diego for Sdcc 2019. Team Coco House will feature a daily lineup of comics handpicked by O'Brien as well as podcasts, panels, trivia, giveaways, and some other surprise appearances.

Exclusive: Ron Lynch (Bob’s Burgers), Mary Lynn Rajskub (24), Alyssa Limperis (Comedy Bang! Bang!), Jenny Zigrino (Bad Santa Two), Will Weldon (This is Not Happening), and Brooks Wheelan (Saturday Night Live) are set to play opposite Fred Armisen in the indie horror comedy, Too Late, from Firemark Media.

Based on a script by Tom Becker, the D.W. Thomas-directed pic centers on a lonely assistant who finally finds love and must escape her monster of a boss before she and her new love become his next meal. Lynch will play the lead role of Bob Devore.

Jack De Sena, Billy Breed, Paul Danke, and Dwayne Perkins also co-star.

I am all for anything that represents Christmas as the hellish festival of torment that it is, but there’s a line at which misanthropy stops being loveable shtick and starts meaning you don’t get invited to parties anymore. Bad Santa 2 doesn’t necessarily cross that line, but it is way too preoccupied with trying to.

Anti-heroes work better in TV than in film, I think: there’s more time to let you grow to root for and even like them. In film you have to set them up, show them being a total bastard, then set them on a path to some sort of redemption within a couple of hours. Bad Santa 2, to its credit, is brave enough not to shoot for actual redemption, instead aiming...

This holiday season, why not distract yourself from all the seething hate around you with more hate on screen? Admittedly, Terry Zwigoff’s Bad Santa is a raucous Christmas comedy that jingles my bells – but Bad Santa 2 is downright despicable. Mean-spirited, perverse and emptier than an alcoholic’s three-day-old vodka bottle. Zwigoff’s original film works a tight ensemble comedy angle, but Mark Waters’ second coming is worse than any family’s most inebriated member (even sicker than Brian Posehn’s Uncle Nick).

Imagine your drunk Uncle. Now imagine him puking on the dinner table, putting out his cigarette in the bile and then proceeding to fuck whatever cooked bird was served – in front of everyone, while laughing. Bad Santa 2 is the equivalent of that unstable mess, never living up to the sinful sentiments of 2003’s first mall-Santa heist.

Willie Soke – raging alcoholic, womanizer and all-round low-life – raises a glass or three to the holiday season in this new Bad Santa 2 poster.

Unlike much of the marketing material to emerge for Broad Green Pictures and Mark Waters’ outrageous, long-anticipated sequel, this one-sheet (via Collider) is actually safe for work, featuring Billy Bob Thornton’s lead character passed out on a bar after toasting to the Christmas spirit long into the early hours.

Excessive drinking is but one character trait that defines Willie Soke, and in Bad Santa 2, Thornton’s despicable trickster will be up to his old ways, striking up a new partnership with literal partner-in-crime Marcus (Tony Cox) that involves Sunny Soke, the butch, borderline-abusive mother hen played with glee by American Horror Story alum, Kathy Bates. Toss in a raging nymphomaniac in Christian Hendricks’ newcomer Diane and you have a festive sequel for only select portions of the family.

Offering up a welcome tonic to the R-rated chaos of Wednesday’s sizzle reel, Broad Green Pictures has now unveiled the Sfw version of Bad Santa 2‘s new trailer that reins in the debauchery – but only a smidge.

Billy Bob Thornton’s foul-mouthed narcissist is back and nastier than ever in the decidedly Nsfw trailer for Bad Santa 2.

Yes, he may be the foulest, most hateful Father Christmas to ever don the fluffy red suit, but in reprising a role for the first time in close to 13 years, Thornton revealed recently that he’s aiming to inject more heart into the festive sequel, while still maintaining the crude streak that ensured the 2003 original went down as a cult hit.

“I think we pushed it even a little further this time, not only in the sort of dark humor but also in the emotion. This one has more of a heart, more of a story you would say, but it also went a little further with some of the nasty stuff. We try to keep up with the times.”

That role is, of course, Willie Soke, a borderline...

Broad Green Pictures is producing the long-awaited film in which Willie's tough-as-nails mother, Sunny Soke (Kathy Bates) teams with her son to try and scam a charity headed by the prim and proper Diane (Christina Hendricks) who has a Santa fetish.

Ryan Hansen, Jeff Skwron, Jenny Zigrino, and Cristina Rosato also star while the characters of Marcus (Tony Cox) and Thurman Merman (Brett Kelly) are also back in the Mark Waters-directed project which opens November 23rd.

With a lit cigarette in one hand and an alcoholic beverage in the other, Billy Bob Thornton makes his return in today’s first teaser for Bad Santa 2.

Pegged to hit theaters on November 23, when the black comedy sequel will bring its unique brand of festive cheer to moviegoers, Mark Waters (Mean Girls) is calling the shots behind the lens, and though 13 years have past since the original cult hit, Thornton hasn’t lost any of his charm as the bitter curmudgeon.

The teaser trailer has popped online for Bad Santa 2, the sequel to the 2003 film Bad Santa. The film Billy Bob Thornton, Kathy Bates, Tony Cox, Brett Kelly, Christina Hendricks, Jenny Zigrino, Ryan Hansen, and Jeff Skowron.

The upcoming American Christmas black comedy crime film is directed by Mark Waters from a screenplay written by Doug Ellin, Steve Pink, Johnny Rosenthal, and Shauna Cross.

The film follows Willy Soke (played Billy Bob Thornton) as he conspires with his mother (played Kathy Bates) to bilk a charity.

Bad Santa 2 is scheduled to be released on November 23, 2016 by Broad Green Pictures.

It astounds me that so many critics can vehemently spit venom at Kevin Smith, proclaiming he only makes movies for himself, yet that same scrutiny seems to avoid a borderline selfish filmmaker like Marlon Wayans. Given the right script and role, Wayans is a funny, talented performer. That I won’t argue. Yet these flavor-of-the-week spoofs he constantly churns out sport the same, unfunny, low-brow sense of humor every single time. These are jokes that make Wayans and his writing buddy Rick Alvarez laugh like pre-pubescent boys – or maybe the jokes were written by pre-pubescent boys, and they just make Wayans and Alvarez laugh. Either way, Fifty Shades Of Black is fifty despicable shades too many. Shocker, right?

Just in case you missed it, Miramax and Broad Green Pictures announced on January 11, 2015 that principal photography has started in Montréal, Québec, Canada, on Bad Santa 2, the follow-up to the raucous comedy hit Bad Santa.

As was previously reported, the film boasts an all-star cast led by Billy Bob Thornton, Kathy Bates, Christina Hendricks, Tony Cox, and Brett Kelly. Miramax and Broad Green Pictures announced today that principal photography has begun in Montreal on "Bad Santa 2," the follow-up to the dark comedy hit "Bad Santa".

Billy Bob Thornton reprises his Golden Globe-nominated role as Willy Soke, and Kathy Bates is set to play Willy's tough-as-nails mom Sunny Soke. Original cast members Tony Cox and Brett Kelly also return as Marcus and Thurman Merman.

Joining them will be Ryan Hansen ("Veronica Mars") as charity runner Regent Hastings, Christina Hendricks as Regent's wife Diane, and Jenny Zigrino ("50 Shades of Black") and Jeff Skowron ("The Good Shepherd") as security guards Gina and Dorfman respectively.
