Phillip Evelyn was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, the oldest of four. At an early age Phillip showed great promise as an entertainer, as he loved to sing, act, and dance. Singing in his church allowed him to cultivate and expand his natural vocal gift. In pursuit of immersing himself amongst fashion and entertainment, Phillip moved from Atlanta to New York City and landed a job as a styling consultant for DKNY. It was during this time he decided to audition for a role in an indie musical film titled, Leave It On The Floor.
