According to scooper Mttsh, Ortega is now in talks for an undisclosed Marvel Cinematic Universe role.

It's always worth noting that Marvel meets with a lot of talent, but if Ortega has actually entered negotiations for an upcoming project, there's a good chance the trades will get hold of the story before too long.

Netflix has unveiled a new behind-the-scenes look at Season 2 of “Wednesday,” which is slated to premiere in 2025.

Thursday’s sneak peek features stars Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán; director Tim Burton; and co-creators Al Gough and Miles Millar, as well as various looks at the new episodes’ sets and extras.

“This season is going to be bigger and more twisted than you could ever imagine,” Zeta-Jones says in the 48-second teaser.

Production on the new season in Ireland began back in May.

Streaming service, Paramount+ has commissioned “Playing Gracie Darling,” a mystery drama series about the aftermath of a girl’s sudden disappearance. The six-part show is created and written by Miranda Nation (“Undertow”), directed by Jonathan Brough and produced by Curio Pictures.

When Joni was 14, her best friend Gracie Darling disappeared during a séance. Some 27 years on, the local kids in a small town get their kicks with a game of ‘Playing Gracie Darling’ – but the seemingly innocent game turns sinister when another girl disappears. Joni, by then a child psychologist, returns to the town and partners with a police sergeant Jay to uncover the truth, while Gracie’s sister Ruth faces a mother’s worst nightmare when her own daughter vanishes under hauntingly similar circumstances.

Out of every character not to return, though, there is only one who meets a rather graphic ending — Charles Deetz. Granted, there is a very good reason why Jeffrey Jones isn't back to portray Charles, and even if we could have done without showing his face via a holographic photo, the manner in which Charles dies is pure Burton.

As we learn during a spectacular stop-motion flashback, Charles died when he was on a bird-watching vacation. His plane went down in the ocean, but he luckily survived — only to get immediately eaten by a shark that bit off the upper half of his body.

The Ghost with the Most agrees to bring Lydia to the Afterlife to rescue Astrid... if she'll sign a contract promising to be his bride.

Lydia manages to bring Astrid home, but has already agreed to marry Rory (Justin Theroux), who Betelgeuse exposes as a gold-digging cad. Still, the prospect of tying the knot with a lecherous demon isn't exactly appealing to Lydia, and Astrid manages to find a loophole which allows her mother out of the bargain.

While Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is set to become a major success, its writers, Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, are setting up their next project. THR reports that the writers of the Beetlejuice sequel are set to produce a movie adaptation of Ice Cream Man, the horror anthology comic written and created by W. Maxwell Prince.

Screen Gems recently acquired the rights to Ice Cream Man and is in early development on the movie. Gough and Millar will produce through their Millar Gough Ink banner, and Aaron Schmidt will also produce for the company. The search is currently on for a writer. The comic tells a series of loosely connected horror stories which typically share the common link of Rick, an ice cream man whose motives are mysterious. Sometimes friend, sometimes foe, Rick uses his inexplicable powers to string together tales of woe and wonder. The series is illustrated by Martin Morazzo with colours by Chris O’Halloran.

The review embargo lifted shortly after, and critics have been weighing in online with social media reactions and a handful of full verdicts.

For the most part, it sounds like Burton has delivered a worthy follow-up to his original cult classic, with returning stars Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder and Catherine O'Hara all coming in for high praise.

Jenna Ortega's turn as Lydia Deetz's daughter Astrid may not be quite a successful, with some reviews noting that her character is not especially likeable or sympathetic, and just a little too close to her take on Wednesday Addams from the recent Netflix series.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice was the opening film at this year’s Venice Film Festival and the sequel had a four minute standing ovation.

“There are so few opportunities to be in something that you can say is 100% original and unique,” said Keaton, who joked about his character’s evolution.

“I think my character has matured,” Keaton said. “As suave and sensitive as he was in the first, I think he’s even more so in this one.”

Tim Burton's Beetlejuice sequel arrives in theaters next month, and Warner Bros. has released the first two clips from the movie online.

The first drops us in on a family reunion between Delia Deetz (Catherine O'Hara), daughter Lydia (Winona Ryder) and her kid Astrid (Jenna Ortega), who have returned to Winter River after the death of patriarch Charles (played by Jeffrey Jones in the original movie).

The next clip spotlights the Ghost with the Most himself (Michael Keaton), who is clearly still carrying a torch for Lydia - who was only 17 when they met.

This has always been one of the creepier plot points in the first movie, but anyone under the assumption that the lecherous Bio-Exorcist will be "evolving" with the times might be in for a bit of a shock.

Michael Keaton's Ghost with the Most makes his long-awaited return to theaters exactly one month from today, and Warner Bros. has announced that tickets for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice are now officially on sale.

In addition to some new posters, we have a teaser featuring quite a bit of new footage, as the mischievous bio-exorcist of the title serenades Lydia Deetz (Winona Ryder) with Richard Marx's "Right Here Waiting."

Lydia is understandably disgusted after her last encounter with the trickster demon, but she is ultimately forced to say his name three times and ask for his help in rescuing her daughter Astrid (Jenna Ortega), who has been taken by unknown otherworldly forces.

Did you know that "Beetlejuice" is rated PG? One can only fathom what demonic force Tim Burton struck a bargain with to secure that rating for his beloved 1988 horror-comedy. In case you had forgotten, this is a movie in which Michael Keaton's Ghost With the Most drops one of the all-time greatest f-bombs before honking his d**k, gleefully mimes jerking off, and loiters around a supernatural strip club titled "Dante's Inferno Room." Meanwhile, Geena Davis rips her own face off and holds Alec Baldwin's bloodied, decapitated head at one point. This was also a few years out from the "stealth horror" of "Gremlins" and "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" leading to the creation of the PG-13, which makes it that much more impressive just how many gnarly creatures and naughty moments Burton was able to sneak by the infamously uptight, conservative ratings board.

The Warner Bros film will play on the Lido before opening internationally from September 4, then in North America from September 6.

The last film Tim Burton directed, 2019's live-action "Dumbo" remake, became something of an accidental metaphor for his career. On Thursday, Warner Bros. released the full trailer for Tim Burton’s “Beetlejuice 2” – officially known as “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” – giving fans their first look at Gen X’s goth teen icon Winona Ryder and Gen Z’s goth teen icon Jenna Ortega on screen together in the sequel to the 1988 horror comedy.
