Angelita was born in El Paso, TX. She is the eldest of 6 children & is
the daughter of Angelita Hernandez & the Late Domingo Hernandez. She
lost her birth father, Joseph Aronce in Vietnam when she was just a
baby. In 2009, encouraged by her then 7 year old daughter, she embarked
on an acting and modeling career late in life, after the age of 41. Her
debut role was in the short film "Quieres Que Me Muera" as Sonia, a
supporting role in March 2010. She has since booked roles ranging from
extra work to principal cast in commercials, music videos, short films,
feature films, including award winning films. She booked the first
modeling project she auditioned for and has modeled for many
professional photographers and fashion designers. She is featured as
Miss August 2013 in the Empowering Women of History Calendar (for
cancer benefit) portraying Dolores Del Rio, the 1st Latina actress with
international appeal. She has modeled in over two dozen runway fashion
shows and appeared on the Dove Billboard in Times Square. 2012 was the
start of a breakthrough year for Angelita. She was signed as "The Face
of N-V-Us Fashions & Boutique" on September 1, 2012, she was crowned
Ms. Texas Plus Size Diva 2012/13, she graced the Cover of the January
2013 Issue of Latin Connection Magazine with a three page feature story
inside, starred in the music video "Imagine" by Mallorie and is
featured in the Timeless Beauty Book featuring models over the age of
40 by photographer IMiko. The short film, "The Symphony of Silence" in
the role of Ana, a mother who goes after her son's bully won the
Platinum Remi Award at Worldfest-Houston International Film Festival.
She even booked a supporting role in the feature film "HOA The Movie"
starring Daniel Baldwin. She proves that it's never too late to follow
your dreams, even if it means smashing through preconceived boundaries
in the industry.
