"According to legend, an ominous entity known as the Queen of Spades can be summoned by performing an ancient ritual. Those brave enough draw a door and a staircase on a mirror, in darkness, and say her name three times. What happens next must be experienced to be believed. Four teenagers decide to summon the Queen of Spades as a joke. But they could never imagine the horrors this innocent prank has condemned them and their loved ones to. The evil entity won’t stop until she gets their souls."

Epic Pictures have released a trailer and poster for director Patrick White’s supernatural horror Queen of Spades – which stars Ava Preston, Daniel Kash, Kaelen Ohm, Eric Osborne, Jamie Bloch, Nabil Rajo, and Krista Marchand – and is based on a Russian take on the same mythos as Candyman.
The film, whose same story was told in the 2018 direct to DVD film Queen of Spades: Dark Rite, follows four teenagers that summon an ominous entity as a joke, not knowing what horrors lie ahead for them and their loved ones when the evil they’ve unleashed will stop at nothing to take their souls.

"Queen of Spades, show yourself..." Epic Pictures Group has debuted an official trailer for an indie horror film called Queen of Spades, made by Canadian filmmaker Patrick White. The film is about the "ancient legend" of the Queen of Spades, who can supposedly be provoked by drawing a door and a staircase on a mirror, in darkness, and saying her name three times. An ominous entity known as the Queen of Spades can be called upon with this ancient ritual. Four teenagers decide to try it out and end up summoning the Queen of Spades, but they could never imagine the horrors that await them... She won't stop until she gets their souls. Of course not! She always needs more souls. The film stars Ava Preston, Daniel Kash, Kaelen Ohm, Eric Osborne, Jamie Bloch, Nabil Rajo, with Krista Marchand as the "Queen of Spades". This looks like a derivative mash-up...

Director: Chad Archibald. Writer: Jayme Laforest. Cast: Aidan Devine, Ava Preston, Jess Salgueiro, Michael Reventar and Ari Millen. I'll Take Your Dead is the latest horror film from director Chad Archibald and his production house Black Fawn Films. Also developed by Breakthrough Entertainment and writer Jayme Laforest, I'll Take Your Dead could only have been shot in the snowy climes of Ontario. One part gangster thriller and one part ghost story, I'll Take Your Dead begins with a father - trying to protect his daughter. His work of choice is dissolving bodies, for the local gangbangers. Not much later, Act II slows the film's plot development, while supernatural elements waver in and out of the film. Overall, I'll Take Your Dead is a decent thriller, which requires a bit of patience. The ghost story elements begin with a robbery. But, what are the rules for ghosts entering or exiting scenes and being seen?...

All Drea (Tashiana Washington) wants is to get into a good college, but for now, she’s stuck making deliveries for a local sushi restaurant. One night, after her little brother Phillip (Jaeden Noel) witnesses meteors plummeting to Earth, one of her co-workers is attacked by hungry alien furballs with sharp teeth and big appetites. Yes, the rolling, ravenous critters are back, and soon Drea, Phillip, and two kids she’s babysitting (Ava Preston and Jack Fulton) are running for their lives. Part crime thriller and part ghost story, I’ll Take Your Dead is like a Joe Lansdale novel that’s occasionally interrupted by Lucio Fulci. It’s the latest Shout! Studios release from producer/director Chad Archibald, whose list of credits include The Drownsman and Bite, and it’s his most confident and assured feature to date.
Aidan Devine plays William, a reclusive farmer known among the criminal community as The Candy Butcher because he moonlights as a disposer of bodies, cutting them up into pieces and dissolving them in an acid bath. His young daughter, Gloria (Ava Preston), having grown up around death her entire life, sees the ghosts of her father’s “work” around the house. When a group of killers drop off a body that isn’t what they think it is, William and Gloria have their quiet life turned upside down, possibly for good.

Do you remember the 80s sci-fi horror franchise Critters!? Well, they are making a comeback and the first trailer has been released for the new film, Critters Attack!
This film is a continuation of the original story and Dee Wallace (E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial) returns to reprise her role as Helen Brown from the first film. The movie looks like it will offer audiences a fun, silly, and violent experience. One of the charming aspects about the film is that the effects still look like they are from the 80s.
Here’s the synopsis:
Dee Wallace (E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial), who starred in the original Critters as Helen Brown, will sink her teeth into the franchise for a second time in the mysterious role of Aunt Dee. Inspired by the film series from the ’80s and ’90s, Critters follows 20-year-old Drea (Tashiana Washington), who reluctantly takes a job babysitting for...

The Krites recently returned to Earth after more than a 25-year hiatus in Shudder's Critters: A New Binge series, and now they're coming back in feature-length form in the new movie Critters Attack!, featuring Dee Wallace's return to the franchise.
IGN exclusively revealed the first trailer for Critters Attack!, which you can watch below. Wallace, who played Helen Brown in 1986's Critters, this time around plays Aunt Dee, and by the looks of the trailer, she's ready to wage war on the hungry Krites from outer space.
Not all of the Krites are looking to eat through the planet's human population, however, as one of the little space visitors seeks to help the humans in their battle against their newfound furry adversaries.

"She's seen so much death here..." Scream Factory has debuted an official trailer for the indie horror thriller I'll Take Your Dead, the latest film from Canadian horror filmmaker Chad Archibald. This originally premiered at two Canadian film festivals last year - Calgary and Toronto After Dark - and is getting a limited release in May. The concept for I'll Take Your Dead is pretty twisted - a guy who cleans up dead bodies at a farm house gets one dumped there. But this woman isn't actually dead, and so patches and locks her up until he can figure out what to do. The two begin to develop a very unusual respect for each other, but the killers come back to finish the job. Aidan Devine stars, with Ava Preston, Jess Salgueiro, Brandon McKnight, and Ari Millen. Looks like this has some creepy twists and turns. Here's the official trailer...

There’s a reverence for John F. Kennedy that sits deep in the American psyche. It’s commonly said that JFK’s assassination in 1963 signaled the end of American innocence, while his administration has come to be seen, by some, as a modern-day Camelot. But time has a habit of whitewashing history, while it’s human nature to grasp positives tighter than negatives. The Kennedys is an eight-hour miniseries (airing in four parts) that intends to show a different side to America’s First Family, as we see them rise to power while dealing with their personal and professional problems on the world stage. It became a controversial project earlier this year, after original broadcaster The History Channel refused to air it, claiming it wasn’t “historically accurate” enough — an excuse refuted by producer-director Jon Cassar (24), who publicly assured critics every script was checked by a historian for inaccuracies.
