Craig was born and raised in Maryville, Tennessee. His parents are
Charles and Carolyn. He is of Jewish, Irish, and Cherokee descent. His
first paid acting role was in the popular outdoor drama, Smoky Mountain
Passion Play, in Townsend, Tennessee as a teenager.
He graduated from Thomas Edison State College in Trenton, New Jersey, with a Bachelor of Arts in humanities.
Represented Texas Pete Hot Sauce as the tough drill sergeant in "The Mustache," which won a local Gold ADDY award.
Craig is retired from the United States Army, where he served in combat in Iraq. He is also an Eagle Scout.
