Biography

Colin Teevan is a celebrated screenwriter and playwright. Irish born, resident in the UK. He has been lead writer and an executive producer on the Das Boot Series seasons 2-4 (2020-2023).

Colin is also writer, creator and executive producer of the Netflix Original series Rebellion (2016 & 2019). He wrote, created and was producer of the TV mini-series Charlie (RTE 2015) starring Aidan Gillen. He has also written episodes of Vera (ITV) starring Brenda Blethyn, Single Handed (ITV/RTE) and Silk (BBC).

Colin's theatre plays, translations and adaptations have been produced all over the world and have starred actors such as Kit Harington, Kathryn Hunter, Sally Hawkins, Clare Higgins and Hideki Noda.

Colin is Emeritus Professor of Screenwriting and Playwriting and Birkbeck University of London. He set up the Writing Serialised TV Drama courses at Curtis Brown Creative, London where he teaches emerging TV drama writers from all over the world.
