Raffaela is of Sicilian descent; raised in the small, south shore Long Island community of Sayville, New York. She was heavily involved in community and regional theatrical productions before moving to Los Angeles. In 2014 she moved to Los Angeles for good where she served tables at Mixology 101 Los Angeles, Buca Di Beppo, Saddle Ranch and Blue Ribbon.
She studied performance art at Sarah Lawrence College and trained at the Berkshire Theater. She also completed the CAP 21 Industry Practicum and Showcase.
In LA, Raffaela began her journey as a multi-hyphenate talent: acting, writing, composing music, and producing.. She co-wrote "Pizza and Whine", a one act play which was later turned into the feature film Four Cousins and a Christmas which is a Hulu favorite during the holiday season. In 2023, she joined the anniversary tour of "Tony and Tina's Wedding", playing the roles of Connie and Donna Marsala.
Raffaela has also pursued a music career, releasing two EPs, one of which is titled Butterfly Effect, developed with InRage Entertainment. On this EP, she performed the song "Hurricane," featuring Chris Redd from Saturday Night Live, and collaborated with Grammy Award-winning producers, the Berman Brothers, on the track "So What." Many of her songs have been featured in films, including The Lady of the Lake (2024). She also co-wrote the song "Jennifer's Lullaby" and sang vocals for the film soundtrack Four Cousins and a Christmas (2021) with Andrew Beall ("Goodbye New York", "Song of Solomon", "Platinum Girls The Musical").
Raffaela also starred as a lead in the film Four Cousins and a Christmas (2021); supported in The Lady of the Lake (2024) alongside Nia Sioux (Dance Moms) and Seth Gilliam (The Walking Dead); supported in The Zombie Wedding (2023) with Vincent Pastore (The Sopranos), Kevin Chamberlin (Jessie), and Cheri Oteri (Saturday Night Live); and also supported in Reach (2018) along with Garrett Clayton (Teen Beach Movie) and Jordan Doww (Love, Simon).
