Before becoming an actor/director, Alex started in PA work. In his first film, Research: The Musical, he was so used to doing behind-the-camera work, he started helping the other crew until he was reminded he didn't need to.

Favorite musicians include Queen, David Bowie, the Beatles, Elton John, Black Sabbath, The Ramones, Electric Light Orchestra, Jimi Hendrix, Mr. Bungle.
