Jasmin Singer(I)

Jasmin Singer is an actress, author, and animal rights activist born on October 30, 1979 in New Brunswick, NJ. She is the author of the memoir Always Too Much and Never Enough (Penguin Random House's Berkley, 2016) as well as the forthcoming book, The VegNews Guide to Being a Fabulous Vegan (Hachette Go, 2020, co-authored by VegNews Magazine). Jasmin is the long-standing co-host of the Our Hen House podcast and former Senior Editor of VegNews Magazine. She's led hundreds of workshops on veganism at conferences and universities around the globe, presented the Tedx talk "Compassion Unlocks Identity," and took part in a 60-city book tour. Jasmin was named a "40 Under 40" by The Advocate, can be seen in the documentaries Vegucated and The Ghosts In Our Machine, and has appeared on the Dr. Oz Show. Jasmin holds a BFA in Acting from Pace University (2001), and also studied at the University of the Arts School of Performing Arts in Philadelphia. She has performed in plays throughout NYC, and was a member of Nitestar (STAR) Theater from 2001-2003, where she was very involved as an AIDS-awareness actor/educator. She stars as Jen in the forthcoming film short, The Bra Mitzvah, written and directed by Stacy Jill Calvert. Jasmin lives between Los Angeles and Brooklyn.
