EARLY LIFE
Aleksandra Svetlichnaya was born in Kharkov, Ukraine and later relocated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with her family. She is fluent in both English and Russian.
Aleksandra showed an interest for the creative arts at a remarkably young age. She began taking art and dance classes before the age of seven and at ten started training in martial arts. It was clear that she was meant to one day work in the entertainment industry.
Having a strong mind for business as well, Aleksandra wanted to go to college and attain a creative, yet practical degree. Within three years she earned, with Honors, a Bachelor's of Science in Fashion Design, with a minor in Fashion Marketing and Business. She then began working as a costume designer for large-scale entertainment attractions, dancesport, theater and, eventually, independent films. That was where she found the opportunity to professionally try something she had always wanted to do - acting.
CAREER Aleksandra appears in lead roles in feature films "The Bates Haunting" (2012) as "Lily Hanson" and "OFF-Time" (2016) as "Bridget," opposite Adam LaVorgna. She was also cast in the featured role of a "Supermodel" in the new installment of the "Rocky" franchise - "Creed" (2015). As a life-long action fan, working on set with Sly Stallone himself, as well as talented actor Michael B. Jordan and professional boxer Tony Bellew, was a dream come true.
In the spring of 2016, Aleksandra was cast in the role of a female prison guard captain in the highly anticipated film "Death House" (2016), which is billed as the "Expendables of Horror." She is also part of the "Death House" Stunt Team, performing tactical and fight stunt work. And in the summer of 2015, Aleksandra was cast as a series regular in a new TV sitcom pilot. By then she has already appeared in NBC's "Do No Harm" (2013) as featured "Ian's Girl" in episode 7; in Bio Channel's "Killer Profile: Bobby Joe Long" (2012) as victim "Elizabeth Loudenback" and she was cast in a featured part as an ex-girlfriend of the former United States President in USA Network's award-winning "Political Animals" (2012).
Her other credits include various commercials, TV promos, short films and major feature films Paranoia (2013), Dead Man Down (2013) and SAFE (2012). As a model, Aleksandra has worked with NIKE, MARS Drinks, Dove Hot Chocolate, Alterra Coffee,Confrontational Clothing, Shop Sixty Five, Pamela Ptak and has been published in The Philadelphia Inquirer and national magazines"Aspira" and "Obscurae".
WRITING, PRODUCING, DIRECTING In the fall of 2014, Aleksandra made her first foray into screenwriting, producing and directing with a short film titled "DINNER" in which she also starred in. "DINNER" (2015) was chosen as an Official Selection at CON Film Festival and screened at Wizard World Philly, The Philadelphia Geek Awards Film Fest and Diamond on the Rough Cut. The film was called "a delicious slice of genre filmmaking" by Geekadelphia and a "badass" "quirky action comedy" by PhillyVoice. James Bamford, Stunt Coordinator/Fight Designer/Director on Arrow, The Flash & DC's Legends of Tomorrow, called the movie "fun" and praised its' monster make up and effects. "DINNER 2" (working title) - also written, produced, directed by and starring Aleksandra - is currently in production and is slated to premiere in late summer of 2016.
