The follow up to the critically acclaimed comic Black is on Kickstarter now.
It's not terribly surprising given how critically and financially successful the original was and the spinoffs announced not long after, but we are finally getting our direct sequel to Black, one of the best comics of 2017. Kwanza Osajyefo, Tim Smith 3, Jamal Igle, Khary Randolph and the team behind that book are back with a new Kickstarter for White.
“How does a nation struggling with a history of racial inequality cope in a world where only black people have superpowers?” said Osajyefo. “Our story asks: In a time of supposed inclusion and diversity, how far will those in charge push back to retain the status quo?”
The original book brought readers into a superhero world where only black people had powers, and used the superhero metaphor to examine social issues while telling a banger of a cape story.

If you've been looking for an awesome Black Widow action figure to add to your toy collection, look no further. This 1/6th scale figure was created by Ashley Wood for ThreeA and I love the cool stylized and unique look that it has.
The figure is 13 inches tall and features 24 points of articulation. It also comes with a faux-leather trench coat, three sets of interchangeable hands, two Glock 17s with holsters, and an interchangeable head that has a mask. I've never seen Black Widow wear a mask like this before, but it still looks cool! Check out some additional photos below.

Ashley Wood always made sure to give her gymnastics coach an affectionate embrace whenever she saw her at practice. "She was so sweet and she always wanted to show you love every day," the 13-year-old's former teammate and coach, Emily Novotny, 22, tells People. But now, like Ashley's family and friends, Novotny is mourning her death, allegedly at the hands of her 14-year-old brother on July 19 in their Rocklin, California, home, police have said."I'm just in shock," says Novotny. "It's really, really sad. She was just one of those little girls I always had so much love for, and that's why this is extra hard.

Before "tentpole" and "franchise" became two of Hollywood's favorite words, sequels were far less common than they are now. But let's say they were—what would that look like? Billing itself as "part tribute and part cultural commentary," Sequel is an upcoming art show featuring the work of a number of artists imagining movie sequels that never were. Hosted by Los Angeles based art gallery and production studio iam8bit, the ultimate purpose of the show—besides being an excuse to show off some really cool art—is to question Hollywood's obsession with sequels, and ask a question: Should we or shouldn't we?...

Last year, when we posted Ashley Wood’s fantastic prototype figure for Iron Man, we were told that 3A figures for Doctor Doom, Ultron, and Spiderman were also on their way. It’s been a long wait, but 3A's Doc Doom 1/6th scale figure is finally here. Not only did Wood once again hit it out of the park, but this new collectible figure also comes in three different editions: Classic, Stealth, and Ghost. Wood’s designs have this subtle stretching of proportions that retain the characters’ classic looks while at the same time giving them this totally unique feel that is instantly recognizable. Doctor Doom will be available October 31st. Let’s hope we don’t have to wait another year or two for Ultron and Spiderman.

Australian artist Ashley Wood is the co-owner of a collectibles company called 3A Toys, which has become known for its high-end designer offerings. Wood is also the man behind the comic series Adventure Kartel, the villain of which is an undead monster by the name of Zomb MD.
As we spotted over on Figures.com, Wood has just completed and put up for pre-order a 1:6th scale 3A figure offering that puts Zomb MD on your collectibles shelf, bringing together the artist's two passions: comics and toys.
A malevolent doctor, Zomb MD is flanked by two albino nurses who look like they were ripped straight out of the Silent Hill universe, and the designer figure is available either on its own or in a two-pack with one of those sexy sidekicks.

Another Metal Gear collection is coming exclusive to the PS3 this summer.
If you are like me, you are a really big Metal Gear Solid fan. You love every story with one of the Snakes in it, and are extremely pumped about Phantom Pain or MGS5. Well hidden in all this excitment was Kojima teasing us with something called "Legacy Collection."
Rumors were that it was something else, maybe a board game release or something, who knew. Well it is confirmed today that the Legacy Collection is a collection coming exclusive to PS3 that includes Mgs, MGS2, MGS3, MGS4, and some unconfirmed Ashley Wood artwork.
MGS2 and MGS3 are the HD variations, so they include trophies and the Msx versions of Metal Gear 1 and Metal Gear 2. MGS4 will be the trophy version. There is not hint or word that the first Mgs will be changed at all though, and no...

For anyone who doesn’t believe in ghosts and witches but wants a found footage horror film that can appeal to their curiosity or sense of fear, then Director Corey Grant’s Bigfoot: The Lost Coast Tapes is probably more your speed. Taking the same route as Steven Spielberg’s Jaws in the belief that showing less is more, The Lost Coast Tapes tells the story of four ambitious TV producers hoping to make a hit series out of an old man in northern California who claims to have a corpse of a young Bigfoot. For the most part, The Lost Coast Tapes succeeds in its use of mysterious howls, strange happenings, and brief glimpses of gigantic hairy beasts to create a thrilling mystery as to whether or not the whole thing is real or if the old man is just scamming them out of their money. Unfortunately, it loses...

For the five of you that are going to wonder.... No, this is not remake of Cate Shortland's recent post-wwii drama, but instead is Warner Bros. upcoming graphic novel adaptation that has Dwayne Johnson attached to star. And now, it's locking down a director. "Men In Black" trilogy helmer Barry Sonnenfeld is in talks for the gig which Deadline says was "a hot job" with the studio meeting "with a bunch of good directors." So why Sonnenfeld got hired is a mystery (*rimshot*). But apparently, the movie will be tonally similar to "Men In Black," so he's a good fit for the material anyway. Based on the comic by T.P. Louise and Ashley Wood, the film is set in a world once full of mythical creatures – ones which have long since been banished and held by a secret society of Shepherds. Cory Goodman ("Priest") wrote the script with Jeremy Lott penned the script.
