Ashley Benson, Shiloh Fernandez, Logan Miller, Frank Whaley and Jay Pharoah are starring in “Private Property,” a remake of the 1960 noir film of the same title.
The movie recently wrapped production in Los Angeles and was written, produced, and directed by Chadd Harbold. The original film, written and directed by “Outer Limits” creator Leslie Stevens, was out of circulation for 30 years and considered lost, until it was restored and re-released by Cinelicious Pics in 2016 to critical acclaim.
In the remake, Benson stars as Kathryn, a struggling actress and unfulfilled housewife who becomes involved with her new gardener Ben, played by Fernandez. The full-on title is still the glorious Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn, starring Margot Robbie as the iconic DC Comics villain, reprising her role from Suicide Squad (it's sort of a sequel but without Joker or Batman). She joins superheroes Black Canary, Huntress, and Renee Montoya to save a young girl from an evil crime lord. They quietly dropped a teaser in theaters a few months ago, but it never debuted online. Now we have an exciting official trailer to watch and yes this looks badass. Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)} starring Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn is all set to swoop into a theater near you in February 2020. While out talking about her role as Sharon Tate in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood with Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt, Robbie confirmed that Birds of Prey definitely has the spirit of a Tarantino movie.
Margot Robbie reveals this about her upcoming Birds of Prey movie for DC, where she will reprise her role as Harley Quinn.
"I mean, yes. The [Tarantino] spirit's definitely there."
And this makes sense considering that the working title of Birds of Prey was Fox Force Five, which is a reference to Tarantino's Pulp Fiction. I'll allow Margot Robbie to explain.

In February 2020 we will be hit with director Cathy Yan's Birds of Prey starring Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress. And today we have word that Star Wars and Trainspotting star Ewan McGregor's take on infamous DC villain Black Mask in the film is not only a great villain but the best in the DC Extended Universe thus far and one of the best villains in a superhero movie ever. Those are some bold statements, I know!
Specifically, SuperBroMovies writer Daniel Richtman tweets this.
"I hear Black Mask in Birds of Prey is "A great, Great villain. The best in the Dceu so far and one of the best villains in a superhero movie ever" so that's good!"
Now while we can't obviously take Richtman's words as gold at this point in time, it's not hard to see...

Project Save Our Surf, a 501c3 charity, has announced a yearlong sponsorship with Kona Deep, a deep ocean bottled water company founded in Hawaii.
The organizations will primarily be supporting cleanup efforts in Santa Monica, with the first cleanup of the year scheduled for January 12, 2019.
“We are so thrilled to partner with Kona Deep. To have a partner devoted to our shared mission of conservation is transformative for us as a growing charity,” says Shaka Smith, actor, honorary board member and organizer of the Project Save Our Surf Cleanup effort. Founder, Tanna Frederick, echoed his optimism, “Since beginning this journey, I have been inspired most by the people and organizations willing to dive in head first and get things done and Kona Deep is no exception. We will be accomplishing great things in 2019 and beyond.”
Kona Deep, since its inception, has incorporated methods in their own production to minimize their carbon footprint.
