Gregory Van Voorhis is a writer, director, and producer who also works as an English Teacher and Theatre Director in New York. Gregory's next feature film, horror anthology, The Pitch Fork, that he has written and will be directing, will begin filming in late 2019. Gregory has been passionate about sharing his love of filmmaking since becoming a Literacy and Filmmaking teacher in one of the toughest neighborhoods in the Bronx in 2003. Gregory has had the luxury of sharing his passions for the written and spoken word, cinematic eye, and performing arts with hundreds of teens that otherwise would not have the opportunity to learn this craft.
Gregory first developed a passion for film when he attended an intensive workshop at The New York Film Academy in 2002 while a senior at Lehman College in the Bronx. At the NYFA, he was able to complete his first 16 mm short film, The Eye of the Vulture, an adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's The Tell-Tale Heart.
Gregory lives in Westchester, NY with his wife and soulmate, Lissette and children, Madison and Mason.
