Netflix pushed back at that description and the link between the two shows. Los Angeles, Jan 16 (Ians) The 75th Emmy Awards, originally set to take place last September, have finally started and the celebrities are putting their best fashion game forward to attend the celebrations.

The 75th Emmy Awards was originally set to take place last September, but was postponed due to the historic WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, reports Variety.

The star-studded list of attendees includes Rhea Seehorn, Giancarlo Esposito, Sam Claflin, Laverne Cox, Adam Brody, Ken Jeong, Alex Borstein, Brian Cox, Quinta Brunson, Hannah Waddingham, Kathryn Hahn and many more.

Co-chaired by Quinta Brunson and Bob Odenkirk, the annual event takes place ahead of the Emmy Awards, and this weekend’s installment shifted to the new year to follow the TV Academy’s celebration due to the dual strikes last summer.

When it comes to assembling the quintessential ensemble cast for a series, it’s an art, not a science; an organic melding of faces and emotional forces. No more was this important than in the high stakes second season of HBO’s drama series White Lotus in which we’re pulled into the posh, sexy allure of those upper-class denizens on vacation only to relish in their deceitful sides and hijinks, warts and all. The series not only propelled fresh faces to the forefront such as Natasha Rothwell in season one, whose Hawaiian White Lotus resort spa manager is returning for the Eastern religion and spirituality set season 3, but it’s also shown a fresh, dynamic range of actors we’ve seen previously, i.e. Jennifer Coolidge and Alexandra Daddario among several others.

Jennifer Coolidge’s open disdain for boating did nothing to dissuade The White Lotus creator Mike White from subjecting the actress to three days of queasy and often claustrophobic filming on a yacht anchored off the Sicilian coast. Her discomfort was his inspiration.

“She had such a bad time filming on the boat in the first season that I just imagined telling her, ‘Yeah, now your character is going to die on a boat,’ ” says White. “Maybe I’m sadistic or something, but I knew Jennifer’s reaction was going to make me laugh so hard.”
