John Mulaney, Ego Nwodim and Sam Richardson have joined the cast of “Poker Face” Season 2.

Mulaney, Nwodim and Richardson will guest star in the second installment of the Peacock mystery series, which is currently in production. Their roles remain under wraps, though its likely they’ll cross paths with Natasha Lyonne’s Charlie as she crosses the country solving murder mysteries in her Plymouth Barracuda.

The three new additions join the previously announced guest stars for Season 2, which include Giancarlo Esposito (“Better Call Saul”), Katie Holmes (“Ray Donovan”), Gaby Hoffmann (“Transparent”), Kumail Nanjiani (“Welcome to Chippendales”), Sherry Cola (“Nobody Wants This”), Kevin Corrigan (“Narcos: Mexico”), Ben Marshall (“SNL”), Kathrine Narducci (“Euphoria”), Cynthia Erivo (“Wicked”), B.J. After its Season 2 renewal in February 2023, Rian Johnson’s and Natasha Lyonne’s Poker Face the case-of-the-week mystery series is back in production for its next installment.

Season 1 of the Peacock show featured 10 episodes of Lyonne’s Charlie Cale, a Vegas casino worker whose keen sense of honesty leads to a Columbo-style show and reverse detective format. Johnson, who also has Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery in the works with a stacked cast, describes the show as a “howcatchem” versus a “whodunit” which is the format of the Knives Outand Glass Onion films.

The BBC has picked up Nicole Kidman’s The Last Anniversary, the latest adaptation from Big Little Lies scribe Liane Moriarty.

Deadline revealed casting for The Last Anniversary for Australia’s Binge last year and the series will star Teresa Palmer (The Clearing, A Discovery of Witches, The Fall Guy), Miranda Richardson (Good Omens, Spider) and Danielle Macdonald (The Tourist, Patti Cake$).

Having previously bought Moriarty adaptation Apples Never Fall, the BBC has snapped The Last Anniversary up for iPlayer in a deal with distributor Fifth Season.

Moriarty’s book is set on Scribbly Gum Island, a place of many secrets. The one that made it famous – the disappearance of a young couple decades ago – might have made the island a destination for true crime tourists, but when it comes to secrets, the three generations of women that call Scribbly Gum home, hold far more.

Natasha Lyonne is back in the driver’s seat as her Peacock procedural Poker Face begins production on Season 2.

Rian Johnson celebrated the the first day of filming the sophomore season on Monday, sharing a photo of the show’s clapboard, which listed Lyonne as the director for episode two.

“Day one season two,” wrote Johnson on his Instagram Story.

Jennifer Aniston is looking to produce a reimagining of the glass-breaking, female driven 1980 comedy 9 to 5. Juno Oscar winner Diablo Cody is writing and Aniston will produce under her Echo Films label with Kristin Hahn.

Directed by Colin Higgins and starring Dolly Parton, Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda, the movie followed three female office employes who turn the tables on their sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot boss played by Dabney Coleman. The film is currently in development, with Diablo Cody working on the latest draft of the “9 to 5” reimagining. Plot details are being kept under wraps.

The original “9 to 5” follows three female office colleagues who decide to exact revenge on their sexist, egotistical boss. Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Dolly Parton and Dabney Coleman starred in the 1980 office satire, directed by Colin Higgins and written by Patricia Resnick. The hit comedy film spawned a sitcom of the same name, which aired on ABC from 1982 to 1983, and in first-run syndication from 1986 to 1988. Parton, Tomlin and Fonda participated in the 2022 documentary “Still Working 9 to 5,” which focuses on the impact of the classic film 40 years later.

Back in December 2023, Netflix swooped in and acquired season two of the critically acclaimed Australian drama The Tourist after Max passed on picking up the distribution rights after airing the first season. Season one of the riveting drama followed Jamie Dornan (Belfast) as a man with a sketchy past who suffered from amnesia as the result of a car accident that was meant to kill him. And season two, which premieres on February 29, 2024, finds Dornan reprising his role as Elliot alongside Danielle Macdonald as Helen, the only person he could depend on when he couldn’t remember his own name.

Their relationship grew over the course of the first season, and by the finale, they were more than just friends. Now, in season two, Elliot and Helen will be traveling to Ireland, hoping to find answers about Elliot’s identity. “But instead, they are forced to face the dangerous consequences of his past actions,...

Still with severe memory loss after a car crash, a disoriented Elliot goes missing in the Emerald Isle after landing in the middle of a long-running family feud involving the McDonnell and Cassidy families to rediscover his roots and the danger of his past life. “What is it that I’ve done that makes me the enemy?” Elliot asks at one point in the trailer (watch in the player, above), a year after the series’ first-season adventures in the Australian Outback and Helen urging him to at long last find out who he really is.

That’s because in the second season, Elliot has yet to recall his name, his profession or why he crashed...

When a tense, twisty BBC thriller titled "The Tourist" dropped on Max in 2022, it became apparent that Jamie Dornan has a gift for playing dynamic, layered characters. This, of course, is not the first time Dornan has excelled in a complex role, as he is also brilliant in "The Fall," the Gillian Anderson-led crime drama that unravels like a tense, slow-burn psychological thriller. In "The Tourist," Dornan plays Elliot Stanley, an amnesiac who must investigate connected cases to uncover his identity, but is repeatedly thwarted by forces who wish to silence him for some reason. Given how tonally diverse "The Tourist" is, with its ability to flit seamlessly between anxiety-inducing reveals and tender epiphanies, it was a bummer for fans of the series when Max dropped it after it was renewed for a second season.

Thankfully, Netflix has acquired the rights for the first two seasons of the show for distribution in the U.

BBC drama The Tourist returned for its second season last night in the lucrative New Year’s Day 9 p.m. GMT (1 p.m. Pt) slot to just 2.2M viewers, beaten comfortably by ITV’s post office drama.

Season two of the Australian thriller The Tourist starring Jamie Dornan has found a new home at Netflix. The BBC series’ first season premiered in the U.S. on HBO Max, but the streamer declined to pick up the distribution rights for season two. Netflix moved in and snatched up the series, setting a February 29, 2024 premiere date for the new season.

The Tourist needs a new home. The action drama series has been renewed for a second season by BBC, but The Tourist has lost its US outlet. Season one was released on HBO Max in March 2022, but the American streaming service didn't pick up the second season. Max is removing the first season from the service on September 8th, a sign that the streamer isn't reconsidering.

The food, beverages and décor of this year’s Governors Ball, the Academy’s official post-Oscars celebration, was revealed Tuesday at a press conference by Wolfgang Puck, who crafted this year’s menu with Eric Klein, VP of culinary at Wolfgang Puck Catering.

Nominees, winners and guests will be treated to a variety of tray-passed dishes, created by 120 chefs in the kitchen, from smoked salmon Oscars matzah and Wp signature pizzas to crispy Moroccan lamb cigars.

Exclusive: Peacock has an ace up its sleeve with Rian Johnson‘s Poker Face.

The series jumped to No. 2 on Nielsen’s U.S. streaming originals list for the week of January 30 to February 5 with 641M minutes viewed. That’s up from the 547M viewing minutes it managed in its first week on Peacock, with its four-episode debut.

The No. 1 spot on the streaming originals list once again went to Ginny & Georgia, though it’s worth nothing that the Netflix series had 20 available episodes to help bolster its 900M viewing minutes for the week.

In terms of average audience, Poker Face takes the top spot since the series only had five episodes available at the time.

Poker Face, which hails from MRC and T-Street and stars Natasha Lyonne, scored an early Season 2 renewal in February. New episodes of Season 1 are currently debuting every Thursday through March 9. This week’s episode is directed by Johnson.

The Tourist has been renewed for a second season. Initially billed as a limited series, BBC has decided to bring back the thriller series for more. Debuting in January 2022, The Tourist was among the most watched on the UK network, with an average of 12 million viewers per episode.

The drama series was released on in the US, but the streaming service has not picked up the second season yet.

Starring Jamie Dornan, Danielle Macdonald, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Damon Herriman, Alex Dimitriades, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, and Kamil Ellis, The Tourist follows a man (Dorman) who is in a car crash and wakes up in an Australian hospital. The second season of The Tourist is moving forward, and the cast is beginning to take shape.

Jamie Dornan, who headlined the series' first season, has closed a deal to return.

According to Deadline, production will commence in Dublin, Ireland, in April.

The first season, which aired on the BBC in January 2022, became the most-watched drama of the year in the U.K. and won three Golden Nymphs awards at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival.

The new six-part thriller, commissioned by the BBC in association with Stan and Zdf, was created and written by Jack and Harry Williams and produced by award-winning Two Brothers Pictures (Baptiste, The Missing, Fleabag) in association with All3Media International.
